If you dont think the Bandit TA from Smokey & the Bandit was cool as hell dont call on this one.. you should be looking for a pinto - we wont relate.

Almost everything built after 1972 sucked ass except the TRANS AM - you got a fast car, big motor, Handles pretty decent, sounds great, does the coolest donuts, with T -TOPS - you don't find these very often anymore and certainly not with the glass - so much cooler than convertibles.

Restored Trans Ams are getting more and more Money these days - ranging from $25K - $33K - You can get this one done all in car and restoration work for a lot less - closer to $13K by the time you are done. Anyone can handle this project - its pretty simple from here on out - better pre-order your flaming chicken decal off ebay today because this is not a long project.

The body looks rough but its not bad - not too much work to be ready for paint - no dents or creases - no rust -

The engine looks a damn mess but it runs - Truth is I wouldn't trust it - have it pulled and freshened up on the top end but it doesn't need a complete rebuild - but the tranny and rear end are fine - I drove the car less than 3 months ago. The original honeycomb wheels are all straight with no curb hit flat spots.

The Interior looks like a crackhead lived in for the past year but its complete. Grab a catalog and order OEM black vinyl seat skins, door panels, front and rear dash pad, and carpet kit and be done with it - keep your eyes open for a good condition center console on ebay as well - hey this is restoration 101 - you gotta find a few things.

I really wanted to do this one but I got way too many projects and i had to let some go if i want to finish the others for auction season.

I am open to trades - or partial trades and cash from me for cool vintage harley's or custom Harleys - you can email me at scottysfast at gmail dot com or call me or text me at 949-637-2665 the car is at my warehouse in Mesa - i split time between Orange County and Phoenix - I am in town this week - I have Clean NON Salvage Title IN HAND  -   I have the car for sale elsewhere and reserve the right to end the auction early.

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am

Wed, 15 May 2013

When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.

'67 Chevy Corvair convertible vs. '86 Pontiac Fiero in cult classic showdown

Fri, 22 Aug 2014

Every few a decades, the folks running General Motors lose their minds briefly try to market a car that public doesn't see coming and often aren't ready for. In the '60s there was the rear-engine, air-cooled Chevrolet Corvair, then the mid-engine Pontiac Fiero in the '80s and the completely bizarre Chevy SSR in the 2000s. What all of these had in common was that they bucked the trend for American models of their era, for better or worse. The latest episode of Generation Gap tasked the hosts with finding two cult classic vehicles to choose between; they came come up with two of these quirky products from The General.
On the classic side, there's a 1967 Chevy Corvair Monza convertible. Being from later in the production run, it wears slightly more aerodynamic styling than the earlier, boxier examples. Hanging out back is an air-cooled, 2.7-liter flat-six pumping out a robust 95 horsepower. In the other corner is the somewhat more modern 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with a mid-mounted, 2.5-liter "Iron Duke" four-cylinder, an engine nearly ubiquitous in GM cars of the '80s.
Judging by when they were new, the Corvair was far more successful than the Fiero with over 1.8 million sold. Of course, Ralph Nader's book Unsafe at Any Speed kind of poisoned the well, even if the poor safety reputation wasn't entirely deserved. The Fiero on the other hand only lasted for a few model years before shuffling off, but it eventually got its own performance boost with the V6 version and rather attractive GT models. Check them both out in the video and tell us in Comments which you want in your garage.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.
