I have a fully restored '87 Pontiac Trans Am hot rod for sale.
It has a custom paint job that has been wet sanded completely flat using all top quality ppg products.
It has a 406 cubic inch small block Chevy race car engine that has been shotpeened, hot tanked, magna-fluxed balanced and blueprinted lower end. The Brodix track 1 aluminum heads were CNC ported and polished by Weldtec. The engine is rated at 650 Hp on gas (no nitrous ) The engine means business!
The 700r4 trans is "built." It sports a Coan 3500 non lock up converter.
It has true 3'' mandrel bent dual exhaust with full length ceramic coated hooker Supercomp headers.
I've installed a full MSD ignition system including an MSD billet distributor and it has an electric fuel pump with a Holley 750 double pumper carburetor.
The unibody has been frame tied with a 6 point cage tig welded in place.
The interior is completely reupholstered to stock specs, with original equipment GM fabric and all of the weatherstripping has been replaced with GM original equipment seals.
This car has never been on the track and has never been abused. I restored it and have only used it as a show car.
This classic car has been professionally appraised for $21,000.00 and there could be financing available.
There are many more details, but come see this car, it speaks for itself.

I have $30,000.00 in receipts for parts on this build, not including labor. There aren't many of these F-body Trans Am's left that have been kept this clean. I hate to part with it, but it's time to move on.

I'm not a typical Ebay seller, this is my first and only listing. I understand I have no feedback, I'm not a dealer, I'm just a guy trying sell my car.

This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels

Sat, 14 Dec 2013

We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am

Wed, 15 May 2013

When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

Thu, 10 May 2012

When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
