I have a 1991 Pontiac Trans AM GTA that I am (reluctantly) selling. It is in really great condition. I bought this from the previous owner after about 2 years of searching for the perfect car for me to do a Knight Rider conversion. I finally found it with this car, however, life happens and the dream of putting together my own KITT has been placed on a very long hold! My loss is your gain! If you have a dream of converting a Trans Am into a KITT replica, this would be a great car to do it!
The car is very nice considering its age. I have owned this car for about a year and it has never seen rain or snow while I owned it, and the previous owner stated that they have never had it in snow as well. This was a very nice taken care of car. It is not perfect by any means, it will need some work for it to be perfect. I will list the good and bad, however, I will say that this car has never once stalled on me, it fires right up every time and rides very smooth. I have gotten many compliments from people while stopped at red lights about how nice the car looks.
The Good
No rust on the car, however, there is some very slight rust on the frame where the T-Tops are but can only be seen when the T-Tops are removed.
Heater and Air Conditioner work perfectly
Lights flip up and down just fine
Power windows work
Power door locks work
Power mirrors on doors work
Power hatch works
Has brand new headliner, side panels and visors
No dents or dings on the car
Has CD/MP3 player installed (however it is not currently hooked up)
Starts up with no problem, never has stalled on me, drives very smooth
The Bad
Does have a slow oil leak
Horn does not work
Small blemish on the right rear side of the car
Hood has a few scratches
Hood is difficult to open once the hood release is pulled (probably and easy fix, but it never bothered me)
The carpet and seats have some tears and stains, could use re-upholstered
The right side visor is not installed, this is a simple fix, one that I have just not got to
The weather stripping could used to be replaced
Drivers side window needs slight help when it reaches the top
The center console is loose.
I am unsure if the rear defroster works, I have never needed to use it. T-Tops are included, I just did not have them in any of the pictures, but they are in fully functioning working condition.
That is all I can think of from the car, I tried to be as thorough as possible. I know the bad things on this car are minor and with some attention are probably simple fixes and none of them have anything to do with the driving capability of this vehicle.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Deposit of $500.00 required at time of final sell, remaining balance to be paid by money order or cashier's check or cash. I have title in hand free and clear. Buyer to be responsible for any shipping costs if applicable. Sold as is. No refunds or returns. No refund of deposit.

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
