This is a good Trans Am and ready to drive this summer! This is my daily driver it is a 1996 Trans Am. Car is white with a charcoal interior and in overall good shape. I have owned and daily driven the car about 50 - 60 miles a day since last fall. I bought a old Corvette so this car needs a new home.

Car condition is in a nut shell a great daily driver. She is not a rough but is not going to win any cars either. It is great to simply hop in and cruise.

With the car you will also receive a new Phoenix Graphix decal kit which includes in Dark Blue the pace car side feather stripes, nose crest emblem decal inlay, tail panel Pontiac inlay, and side door Trans Am color inlays.

More specifics on the car:
Engine, drive train, and rear end:
-- Engine is the LT-1 and runs strong holds good oil pressure and no ticks, smoke, knocks etc. It is strong.
-- Car gets right at about 18 city and 24 highway
-- Transmission is the automatic and shifts tight and no leaks, slips, etc.
-- Rear end is tight with no noise etc. Brakes all the way around are good.
-- Exhaust is stock and sounds good not loud etc.
-- Suspension is pretty tight still and the car still handles very well. These cars corner really nicely!
-- Tires are about 30 - 40% could use a new set of meat.

Interior
-- Charcoal in color and overall good shape. Typical wear on side bolster of the drivers seat, tear on seat bottom of passenger seat. Rear seats are very nice. Trim panels are all good and carpet is also good. Headliner has a small cig burn but not sagging and fabric is in nice shape. Needs a passenger side sun visor (factory one is worn out)
Dash is nice has the typical crack as they all do at the alarm light bulb on the plastic cowl panel trim panel.
Has steering wheel controlled stock radio which works but is missing the small volume trim button also has a trunk mounted 10 CD disc changer and remote. The speaker volume is wacky at times as is the premium sound package and has like 8-10 speakers in the car (All stock) but radio does work and sounds good.
--- Has power locks, steering, brakes, mirrors,
--- Cruise Control (Works),
--- Air conditioning (works)
--- Horn (Works)
--- Power windows (Work) drivers side is slow though
--- Glass t-tops with interior matching headliner style sun cover plates.

Exterior body and paint:
Paint is a 6.5 - 7 could use a good wax and buff. Looks t have been painted once?  Nose cone and rear bumper have stone chips which are typical, not ripped nor torn. No bad dents on the car etc etc. Passenger side fog lamp needs replaced (does not work).  Decal kit is included with the car as stated.

Car is located in Dunlap TN (near Chattanooga and Nashville)

STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM

Fri, 16 Oct 2009

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.

CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero

Fri, 26 Oct 2012

At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.
