1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Ls1 V8 27k Miles on 2040-cars

Year:1999 Mileage:27654
Location:

Grandville, Michigan, United States

Grandville, Michigan, United States

Up for sale is my 1999 Trans Am with only 27,654 miles. Won't change as I do not drive it....

HERE IS A LINK TO A VIDEO OF THE CAR..CLICK HERE

This is an adult owned car, no 17 year olds tearing around the streets. I'm 54 and I keep very good care of my vehicles.

My description below will NOT be inflated for the purpose of receiving a higher value in return. Fair and honest

Engine/Tranny: no huge cams or mystery head work, no supercharges etc...things that keep them in the fix-it shop every other day.   Same goes for the transmission...untouched.

Exhaust: Stainless steel cat back with Loud Mouth mufflers. Sounds aggresive, especially when you first hit the key and it fires up. 4 chrome tip ends exit the rear.

Paint/Body: Show ready, I can not even find one stone chip. The flames are a mixture of purple, blue, rasberry and silver with blue pin stripping. Not stickers, real paint. Fully functional Ram Air hood with K^N filter  Dark window tint. Adds a nice little touch to the car.

Interior. Grey leather with all options that you could get that year. No wear, tears, stains etc...show ready   AC is cold, heater is hot. I did add the white face gauge package and steel foot pedals.

Rear end/Suspension: The stock 3;23 gears were professionally swapped out with Richmond 3;73. What a huge difference that makes performance wise. All of the stock suspension was removed and replaced with BMR products, they include, Weld in sub-frame connectors, Heavy duty front and rear sway bars, Panhard bar, LCA's,  all powder coated red. Aluminum diff cover as well. Drives/rides exactly like a newer corvette, tight and stiff. can take highway entrance ramps at 90 plus MPH no problem

Tires/Wheels; Torque thrust !1 aluminum 17 inch wheels with goodyear Eagle F1's 315/35ZR17 in the rear (they are very wide) and 275/40ZR17 on the front. All with 90%+ tread life left. foot to the floor and these tires will catch pavement no matter what.

Stereo: Pioneer deck with 600 watt Diamond amp and speakers (try finding that brand at Best Buy) JL subwoofer.. High end Diamond products are very desirable. Receipts in hand at a cost of $1704.00

That's about it, If your an out of state buyer, I can help in any way for shipping purposes.

GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns

Sun, 05 Oct 2014

Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
