Looking for a well kept sports car at a great price then Save Time, Save Money - Stop Looking and know your not getting a lemon! No drag racing, no teenagers, no abuse! Buy this one Today

History - I purchased this 2000 model Pontiac as part of my personal collection in 2004 with just over 93K miles. The original owner (only one) was a nurse that used the vehicle to commute from a southern rural area into Dallas. This vehicle saw nothing but highway usage and it showed no abuse of any sort. I was very impressed with how tight the drive train was/is and how well kept the car was.  Since the purchase I have basically stored the car in my garage, the odometer only shows 101650 on it now. That's only 8650 miles in almost 10 years!

I decided to sell it now to help fund another remodeling venture on our home. Since pulled from storage I have replaced the new battery that basically went bad from sitting idle (even disconnected) with yet another new one, just installed brand new tires because the originals were flat spotted (less then 20 miles on them), topped off the AC system with Freon and flushed the fuel system. The car runs just like it did when it was brand new  (I say that because I also purchased brand new one in 2000). Everything worked when I parked it in 2004 and still does to this day. Sure its not brand new, might have a nick or scuff somewhere from a car cover or something but you can easily see just how well kept this car is in the photos provided. This interior has not had a wild animal set loose in it, the plastic is not all scratched up and damaged! The carpet is in great condition although a shampoo couldn't hurt. The seating is not torn! This is a rust free, damage free car.  I have the original Ws6 rear emblem in the glove box, the factory double-sided tape starting coming loose so I removed it to avoid losing it. Serious, Questions - Call David at 469-285-0471. If you just buy it now without even making a phone call then you have no one to blame but yourself if you just assumed something or was not sure.... etc.

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

GM recalling another 2.7 million vehicles in five separate campaigns

Thu, 15 May 2014

The recalls keep rolling in from General Motors, evidently keen to avoid repeating the mistakes of the ignition-switch debacle and clean house. This time they're all coming at once, with five separate recalls announced together covering approximately 2.7 million vehicles.
The largest of the five actions involves over 2.4 million units of the previous-generation Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura in order to fix brake light wiring harness, which have been found to be susceptible to corrosion. The recall is separate from the 56k Aura sedans which GM recently recalled over faulty shift cables, not to mention the previous massive recall of 1.3 million vehicles - some of them the same models - but appears to have resulted from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation that started with the G6 almost a year ago.
The second-largest campaign involves the 2014 Chevy Malibu, specifically those fitted with GM's 2.5-liter engine and stop/start system, approximately 140,000 examples of which has been found to have problematic brakes. The issue does not appear to be connected to the recall of 8k Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (also involving brake woes) which we reported upon last week. Four crashes have been reported in such models, but GM admits it's not yet clear if the problem was a contributing factor in the accidents.
