Hi all! Summer is getting near and the winter is finally over. Time to get ready for the lovely times of sunshine and warmth. I am putting my beloved 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 on sale. Some of you might remember this listing from last year, however I decided then that I will keep it for a little time longer, get the car to as good shape as I can and let it go in spring. I think I have made the right choice as my situation changed a little and as much as I don't want to part with this awesome machine I have to. I have tried my best to keep the car in perfect condition and I have spent a considerable amount of money doing so. I will start this listing with a point by point description of what has been done/replaced to the car.
- brakes and rotors are almost brand new ( about 1000 miles done on them )
- rear suspension has been replaced including the coils
- o2 sensors replaced
- cat converters replaced by Flowmaster cats
- all filters, spark plugs, spark wires, electric distributor, battery, all fluids changed/replaced with brand new about a week ago
- starter replaced
- water pump replaced
- all belts replaced ( alternator, power steering, water pump etc. )
- clutch and flywheel replaced to Duralast American made high performance kit
- all lifters and all components that come with them replaced and calibrated about a week ago
- header gaskets and the headers cover replaced week ago (please see pictures)
-emission test done in October and passed with flying colors
All those components have been replaced by professional mechanics. I have all the paper work to prove it. There is about $6k put into the car. The interior is in very good condition, however there are some cosmetic details that could use some attention, however there's very little to do. The tires are very good, I would say about 85%. The wheels could use some more cleaning and polishing by professionals, there are some small marks of rust, one of the wheels is not stock, it's from Corvette however I have recently purchased stock rim which is included in this listing. One of the rims is missing the center cap. The exterior is in very good condition. There are no scratches. There is a minor crack on the driver's door which is shown on the pictures, very easily repaired. There is minimal dent on the right hand side but unless you are looking for it it's virtually invisible. All tags and decals are present and in mint shape. There is a little mark on the left headlight cover as shown on the pictures. There is some discoloration underneath the flip lights however it's nothing major. The front has some minor chips from small rocks, but not much and considering the car is 11 years old it's very insignificant. Overall, the body is in very good shape. The Blue Book value of this car with this mileage is approximately 13,000, however taking under consideration how much has been done to this beauty and how awesome it drives I believe that the mileage should be cut in half. I am the second owner of this car and it has never been in an accident. I have not rode it hard as you will be able to tell the moment you drive it as it's awesome and very fast. Anyone with a little bit of imagination can make it into a true monster and not break their wallet. I am really sorry to be selling this car however my current situation requires it so here it is. Please understand and note that this car has no warranty and is being sold by a private seller. Please make sure you read the description carefully and view all the pictures attached. Please call me or send me a message with any questions you may have. This car is sold as is and I reserve the right to end this auction at any point or time. Please do your due diligence regarding the car title. This auction has no reserve. Please be sure that if you do bid on the this car you will be required to make a $500 none refundable deposit via PayPal unless you call me first and arrange something else. All bidders that are interested and have less than 5 positive feedback please call me prior to bidding, otherwise I reserve the right to cancel your bid at any point. This is not to discourage new members on eBay but to make sure I am not left with none paying auction winner and due to that I am forced to lose more time and money. This has happened few times in the past and it's a waste of my time and your eBay account as you will be reported and dealt with according to eBay rules. I believe I am putting this car on auction for a fair price and as I mentioned there is no reserve, however I will consider reasonable offers if you wish to make one. I really need to sell this awesome machine and thus I am willing to listen to offers. My phone number is 312-607-1746. Please leave a message if I don't pick up right away. I will call you back as soon as I can.

GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected

Tue, 20 May 2014

General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.

STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM

Fri, 16 Oct 2009

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.
