2002 PONTIAC TRANS AM -- COLLECTOR'S EDITION
TRULY FLAWLESS -- ONE OWNER GARAGED NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE This car sold before Christmas to the highest bidder. He failed to send the money. Please before you commit to buying this item or any other on Ebay, do your homework...have the money in the bank or financing arranged, get your spouse's permission, get a firm transportation cost, know what you are doing...and be a good as your word! This is truly a collectors vehicle! This one was bought with all the right options...babied for a precious few miles and pampered to it's current unblemished condition. The RAM AIR performance 325hp 5.7 L - V8 purrs like a kitten and roars like a tiger when called upon. All systems perform as originally delivered. With only 10, 000+ miles you would expect perfection...and you will get it. This 35th anniversary edition convertible is one of less than 1500 manufactured for the US market in 2002. Pleasantly equipped with normal creature comforts this special edition adds logos and graphics to the embroidered head rests --plust the gloss black painted wheels which are encased by the brand new Uniroyal 275/40/ZR17 tires. The collectors edition Yellow exterior proudly reflects the pampering of this vehicle. If I didn't know better, I would think the Ebony interior never cuddled a driver. The power retracting black top operates perfectly. When open the appearance is enhanced by the original bonnet cover. The interior is equipped with power widows, door locks, cruise control, CD player, DUAL POWER SEATS, with power drivers side lumbar support. Audio controls are handy with steering wheel access. Front valance embedded fog lights are features of the performance package. The photos show the original owners manual and two sets of keys! This car is cosmetically and mechanically perfect. It drives as you would expect for a 10,000 mile performance CONVERTIBLE. For the lawyers.....THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD WITHOUT WARRANTY -- AS IS -- WHERE IS! I try very hard to accurately describe every vehicle. Read my feedback. I am however human so excuse me if I have erred. I am not aware of ANY issues with the vehcile. I obtained it from the original owner who lives locally. It of course has a clean CARFAX and a lien free Virginia title (in hand). We are advertising this vehicle for sale locally so I am reserving the right to end this auction at any time without warning! I have driven this vehicle myself. I took the photos myself. If you wish other photos just ask. I will attempt to accommodate! We will help facilitate vehicle transporting if possible. The nearest airport to us is Richmond Va. Or, often Norfolk or Dulles is cheaper, yet not as convenient. Call me directly via my cell --804-450-1189 or at the dealership 804-529-6969. I am Ken, pleased to meet you. Hope I can earn your trust and business! VADLR #8915 |

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern
Mon, 07 Nov 2011General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.
Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?
Wed, 07 Oct 2009 DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
