Was always garage kept, smelled brand new still when I bought it. It is black with T-tops, has leather bucket power seats, has the 5.7L LS1 with Ram Air. Its a 6 speed manual with the hurst short throw shifter. Cruise control, power windows, locks, and mirrors. It has 18" front and 19" rear chrome C6 Corvette rims. Has just over 17,000 miles as of now."

My name is Jared, I am the second owner of this car. It has been garage kept its whole life. The car is in excellent condition and you probably wont find one as nice as this one. Runs perfect, and sounds great. I bought a set of C6 Corvette rims aftermarket that are in perfect condition and compliment the car nicely. Everything is in stock condition, only things changed are different rims and tires with spacers in rear, and an aftermarket K&N air filter. Advertised to have 325hp with a 0-60 time of 5.5sec. Has 4 wheel disc brakes and fully integrated traction control. Comes with original sales literature from the dealer. Still have the original window sticker and the cars original price was $31,495 in 2001. Paint has minor flaw in the B-pillar where the fiber glass forms bubbles on it from the sunlight. Pictures are included. In 3 years I have put a total of less than 7,000 miles on the car. Its never seen snow and rarely even seen rain. Also it has a 10 speaker monsoon sound system with an equalizer. I am only selling the car because I want to put the money into my new house. These cars are rare to come by and especially in this condition, not to mention Pontiac was discontinued. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and shipping arrangements. I am willing to ship from within 50 miles of zip 61571.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.

eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile

Sun, 29 Apr 2012

Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.
