For sale is a 1986 Pontiac Trans-Am with 31,000 original miles. I bought from the second owner. never driven and never abused. It took 4 years to convert it to a Knight Rider Inspired Replica. it is not show exact of any one season. It is a combination of all the seasons plus extras that weren't in any of the shows.
Most of the parts were manufactured by Rob Louisell. Some parts come from other sources. The vehicle itself needs a whole distributor as it sometimes stalls, however, the KITT conversion needs nothing. It is complete and functional.
All the buttons are functional. They either open doors, start the engine, stop the engine, open windows, open trunk, etc...The POD is voices from the show.
Here is some of the things that I have done with this vehicle:
1. Replace the old cloth seats with gorgeous leather seats
2. Replace the entire carpet with black carpet.
3. Tint the windows.
4. Light up the entire car with blue neons from underneath the carriage.
5. Install police style speaker under the grill that attaches to the CD, also have a PA system. You can speak through it. You can play music through it or the voices of KITT coming right from the engine. This system is very very loud.
6. The rearview mirrors are video monitors.
7. The CD/DVD player is a video monitor as well.
The last time I listed this vehicle was 2 years ago. I really don't want to sell it but times are tough and I want to have the money to go to school, however, having said that I still will not give it away.
This vehicle has a reserve price on it. Please don't ask for the reserve as I will not review it. I will not take payments. I will ship the car wherever you want however you are responsible for the shipping charge of the vehicle and the method used to transport this vehicle.
As I thing of things to add to this ebay description then I will edit it. This is all that I can think of for now. This is an expensive toy for the collector that can afford this type of toy. This vehicle is not for the fan of the car that wants to make payments.

Pontiac Firebird in latest Generation Gap scrap
Tue, 30 Sep 2014Generation Gap is mining the Lingenfelter collection again this week to compare two very different interpretations of the Pontiac Firebird. An original 1968 example goes toe-to-toe with a 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am to see whether the old man or the modern re-imagining takes the crown.
Being from the Lingenfelter collection, both cars are absolutely immaculate. The '68 packs a Pontiac 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 with a claimed 320 horsepower and some classic, muscular style with a hood-mounted tach. Plus, it's painted in an understated shade of green that you don't usually see.
In the other corner is Lingenfelter's pumped-up take on the classic shape based on the modern Camaro, and this is just one of six concept versions ever made. It wears an eye-catching, vintage-inspired livery of blue with a white stripe package. Under its shaker hood is a 455-cubic-inch (7.5-liter) V8 with a reported 655 hp and 610 pound-feet of torque.
How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car
Fri, 17 Oct 2014Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.
Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
