1976 Porsche 911S Signature Edition
For your consideration is this very rare and sought after numbers matching 911S F.A. Porsche Signature Edition with only 84,671 original miles. This Signature Edition is one of approximately 200 units ever produced, making it even more rare than the 400 unit Weissach Edition of 1980.
Simply put this car is in perfect condition, no scratches, no dents, no rust. Most of the interior has been professionally redone. All of the mechanicals are up to date...this car is show quality.
The body is in outstanding condition, it is simply perfect, there is not a single scratch, dent or spot of rust on the car. Last year this rust free car was completely disassembled (windows, hood, doors, decklid, bumpers, valances, seals, etc....pretty much everything not welded to the car was removed), stripped down to the bare metal and repainted in the original 944 platinum metallic color, as the original paint was old and tired.
Structurally this car is solid, it is 100% rust free, including in the usual places rust forms on these such as the trunk, battery tray, front pan and floors. The car is further complimented by the original “Cookie Cutter” wheels which have absolutely no curb rash. All the glass is nice and clear with no scratches or hazing. Tires are practically brand new, with approximately 95+% of the tread remaining.
Everything in the car works as it should including all gauges and accessories.
The interior is in perfect condition, including the seats (the front seats have been recently professionally reupholstered), carpets are brand new original style Cashmere Sliverknit and the headliner was replaced. The door panels and pockets are in very good original condition. The car spent it’s entire life in an enclosed garage so there is no sun damage, the dash and rear deck lid are in perfect condition.
The engine is in outstanding mechanical condition, the 2.7 engine is perfectly tuned, starts right up on the first try each and every time, idles smoothly and runs as strong as it did when it was new.
The transmission shifts seamlessly through the gears with no slipping or grinding. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train, all you hear is the music of the flat six engine. The ride in this 911 is great, there are no squeaks, rattles or other unwanted noises, the car drives straight and true...there is nothing indicating this car is over 36 years old!
This 911 is free on any liens is ready for a new home.

Porsche slathers Martini livery on 911, Panamera, Macan and Cayenne
Mon, 20 Oct 2014This is how we imagine the conversation went in Porsche's Stuttgart headquarters: "Martini livery. Martini livery all the things." Okay, so maybe not, but that hasn't stopped Porsche from showing off images of its entire lineup bearing the iconic racing livery.
While we aren't sure about the questionably yellow 911 and lime green Macan, the navy blue Cayenne and the white Panamera both look pretty spectacular as they lap about the streets of Sochi, Russia.
As for why the liveried sports cars and crossovers were at the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics, we aren't totally sure. Porsche's Facebook page, where the images first popped up, was really light on details. Whatever the reason, we fully support Porsche doing more with Martini livery. Take a look at the full gallery to see what we mean.
Porsche-Piech buy 10% stake in VW's holding company
Tue, 18 Jun 2013In August, 2009, as the scuttled merger of Porsche and Volkswagen had gone bad and Porsche was backed up against the ropes, Porsche Automobil Holding SE (PAHSE) relinquished a ten-percent stake in itself to Qatar Holdings as well as options it held on 17 percent of VW shares. The sale meant that, for the first time since the founding of the company 61 years before, an entity outside the Porsche and Piech families had a say in the running of PAHSE.
Buying that ten-percent stake back returns full ownership to the two families, the holding company's sole possession being ownership of 50.7 percent of VW's common shares. The price paid wasn't disclosed, but at market rates the purchase would be worth close to $1.25 billion. Qatar intends to hold onto the 17-percent stake it has in Volkswagen.
Driving the million-mile Porsche 356
Fri, 30 Aug 2013Maybe you've seen or heard about the Porsche 356 with almost one-million miles (though it doesn't look like it), but Petrolicious finally has produced a video to show us what it's like to drive the 982,000-mile car. Guy Newmark's beautiful, dark-blue 1964 356C looks great in motion - much better than in photos - and serves to remind us not only what meticulous car care can do for old classics, but that old Porsches were built to last.
So how fastidious is Newmark about maintaining it? He takes the car to his mechanic of 40 years every 3,000 miles for an oil change and to fix anything that needs attention.
Newmark says his 356 "is everything you could want," and that he finds errands to do just to go drive it. We would, too. The next-best thing is to watch the inspiring video below of the well-traveled Porsche.
