Good honest 1979 Euro spec 911 SC. Factory air conditioning and power windows. Pulled from a dry garage two years
ago after sitting for ten years, this rust free car was treated to a full paint and interior. The fuel injection
was rebuilt, the brakes were done and the whole fuel system was flushed. All fluid were changed and the ca has
been road drive 150 miles since all the work has been performed.

Currently the air conditioning does not work but all the components are there and function. Aside from that , the
car is a pretty well sorted driver quality car.

It is a numbers matching car with its original engine and transmission. The car has its tool kit and manuals as
well. There is an aftermarket radio but aside from that, the car is stock and unmodified from new.

I have service receipts going back several years which includes the valve service done about 30 KM ago. The car
smokes a moment at start up after sitting more than a day or so but otherwise runs out smoothly. Th eclutch is
good and the brakes are also excellent. The E-brake works as well. All lights work.

The paint job was done late last year and is about equivalent to a factory paint job It is not show but very nice.
There is a small send under the rocker on the drivers side. The interior is outstanding with perfect seats and
carpeting. The instruments are original and the bezels have some minor pitting.

The pans and floors are excellent original with no rust or rust repair at all. The car has its original spare and
jack. The engine bay is not detailed. It does not leak.

The glass is all original. The roof liner is excellent. Some of the exterior rubber has some slight fading.
Overall, this is a nice and inexpensive entry in to the air cooled Porsche world. The car can be worked on and
driven and enjoyed at the same time. It does have needs as noted in this description but there is nothing to keep
its new owner from driving & enjoying it.

2015 Porsche Cayenne spotted with facelift

Although it's only been a few years since the current Porsche Cayenne was introduced, Porsche seems to be working on a midcycle update for its big SUV possibly in time to welcome the smaller Macan. As seen in these recent spy shots, it looks like the Cayenne will be getting a minor face- and butt-lift, but it's hard to say what other changes are in store or when the updated model will hit showrooms.
Up front, expect the Cayenne's new face to resemble what was just revealed on the 2014 Panamera, and we could also see this SUV using some of the new engines introduced on the Panamera including the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 or maybe even the E-Hybrid model. We're guessing that the new Cayenne could debut sometime next year likely for the 2015 model year. In the meantime, check out the gallery of spy shots above.

Mark Webber gets early clearance for Porsche departure

If there's no rest for the wicked, there's surely even less rest for the wickedly fast. And make no mistake about it, Mark Webber is wickedly fast. He may not have proven able (or given the opportunity, depending on who you ask) to emerge from Sebastian Vettel's shadow after six seasons partnered with the multiple world champion at Red Bull Racing, but he's still won nine Formula One grands prix, to say nothing of the sports car races he won with Mercedes in the late 90s. But now he's leaving F1 to anchor Porsche's new LMP1 program, and according to the latest reports, he's departing Red Bull for Porsche sooner than expected.
Typically an F1 driver is obliged to stay with his team until the end of the calendar year - not just the end of the racing season - helping out with things like promotional events and fine-tuning next year's car. But news.com.au reports that Red Bull has given him early leave, so once the racing action in Brazil is done on Sunday, he's departing straight for Porsche's racing headquarters in Wiessach, Germany.
It won't be Webber's first visit to the facility, having already swung by to have his new seat fitted. But his early arrival will undoubtedly help him and Porsche get up and running ahead of schedule. The move may have been facilitated by a new sponsorship deal that could see Webber carry Red Bull with him to Le Mans, so don't be too surprised to see the energy drink company's logo on the side of the new Porsche once the new racing season gets under way next year, whether in concert with or instead of the anticipated revival of the Martini Racing livery.

The Porsche 911 Turbo has a legacy of being a tough car to drive. With a ton of power set right over the rear wheels, its reputation is to lose control as soon as the driver stops concentrating. However, this isn't quite so true anymore. The modern ones are tamed through technology with things like hydraulically controlled engine mounts, not to mention all-wheel drive. In its latest video, Autocar tries to decide whether 25 years of progress really makes the turbo a better vehicle.
It's summer, so what better version to compare than the 911 Turbo Cabriolet? In one corner, Autocar has the latest and greatest 2014 version pumping out 513 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Its challenger is a 1989 911 flatnose convertible sporting 326 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. It's a truly rare car in the UK with only eight of them remaining on the roads in that region.
Granted, this test isn't so much a battle as it is a comparison. There's no question that the modern 911 would beat the classic in practically every objective category.
