1980 911 SC.The car originally had a 3.0 engine, which was sold when I purchased the car, it now has a rebuilt 2.7 with dual weber IDA3C carburetors that have been rebuilt. I'll try and list all of the things that have been replaced. New Pierburg fuel pump, new fuel lines supply and return, new SSI heat exchangers, H4 head lights, new battery, MSD ignition, PMO fuel pressure regulator and fuel bars. The shifter was rebuilt along with a new shift coupler. New clutch, pressure plate, clutch cable. No issues with shifting what so ever. The transmission was just drained and refilled with Brad Penn gear oil.

The car runs very well, all of items listed above were replaced in the last year. I have records and receipts for most along with what was given to me when I purchased the car. I have a clean Maryland title in my name. Mechanically the car is in very good condition, although the carbs could be tweaked just a little. All the electrical works with the exception of the odometer, but the speedo works. The druck pressure gauge needs a new sending unit which is an easy fix. Brake fluid was just changed, pads and rotor are good. I have other parts that will go along with car, just things I've collected. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Much has been done to the car and I no longer have the motivation to take it any further. This is a great car for a daily driver or for long road trip. I recently drove it to Hershey Park Pa. round trip 425 miles no issues.

The body is straight with only one rust spot that is surface only, otherwise on a scale from 1-10 the paint is a 6. The interior all things considered not to bad. No rust on the floor pans at all, the dash has no cracks, the driver and passenger seats are power and in excellent condition. The head liner is ripped in the usual place at the sunroof motor.

Shipping to be arranged by purchaser.

No warranty, Sold As Is.

Happy bidding!!

Porsche Museum highlights history of the 911 RSR

Sat, 12 Jan 2013

Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.
Not one to downplay its racing successes, Porsche has released an informative video detailing the 911 RSR's impressive heritage. The 1973 RSR model owned by the Porsche Museum is detailed beautifully on video, and we have to say it looks absolutely stunning in its vintage Martini Racing livery.
Have a look at the video below for some historic racing action, along with static shots of one of our favorite Porsche models ever created.

Porsche 911 Targa leaks out ahead of Detroit debut

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

With the doors of Cobo Center opening for the 2014 Detroit Auto Show this morning, Porsche is set to reveal its new 911 Targa in a matter of hours. But before it gets the chance, the first batch of images have already leaked out, courtesy of Chinese car site autohome.com.cn.
As expected, the new Targa appears to ditch the complex sliding glass roof panels that adorned recent versions of the semi-convertible 911 in favor of a more back-to-basics approach. An entirely removable roof panel opens up the sky, backed by a metallic B-pillar hoop in front of a large curved-glass rear window.
We'll have to wait just a little longer for the full scope of images and all the official details, but we're expecting the new Targa to carry most of the same technical specifications as the 991 on which it's based. Watch this space for more.

Are you the Porsche Pajun?

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

The prospect of Porsche building a smaller version of the Panamera has been an on-again, off-again proposition as the German automaker seems to go back and forth on the project. Last we heard, Porsche had pushed back the so-called Pajun (shorthand for Panamera Junior) until 2019 at the earliest, but we could be looking at it right here.
The automaker's everything-but-automotive division Porsche Design is working on a luxury condo complex called (simply enough) Porsche Design Tower. It's been three years in the making and will take at least another year or two to complete, but the gist of it is that the 57-floor building will include 132 apartments, each with its own en-suite garage in which the residents' cars will be parked thanks to giant elevators.
Porsche Design released a series of renderings showing what the property will look like once complete. Most of the renderings feature Porsches, of course - production models you can find in any of the brand's showrooms, like the one just 23 miles away in Coral Gables. But one of the renderings of the giant glass elevators shows something rather unusual.
