1981 Porsche 911 SC . The car runs and drives with excellent mechanical and no electrical issues .The motor runs very strong and the transmission shifts well with no none issues. The clutch feels fine with good engagement and travel. The car sustained passenger side damage and required replacement of fender and door which were taken from a good rust free donor car. The car belongs to a customer of ours who intended to build a track day RSR but found a turbo instead. The auction includes all misc. parts to complete with exception of a rear bumper assembly. For the car to be road worthy the exhaust needs to be bolted up and brakes adjusted . The car has no rust at all and comes with a Georgia title with salvage history from the previous damage . Jay Leno plugs himself into Porsche's 918 Spyder

With his 1963 Porsche 356 and his 2005 Carrera GT flanking a Liquid Silver 918, Leno takes us through the basics of this plug-in hybrid roadster alongside Daniel Eastman of Porsche North America. Following the chat, Leno and Eastman take the German-plated car through the streets of California, testing it in a number of modes and even going on a short, all-electric freeway cruise.

Porsche Cayenne spied unconstrained by camouflage
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Meet the facelifted Porsche Cayenne. Our eagle-eyed spy shooters captured this example of Porsche's freshened SUV virtually devoid of camo, giving us our clearest look yet at what the eventual mid-cycle work will do to the strong-selling Cayenne.
The overall changes do, indeed, look minor, with a reprofiled intake being the most obvious item. The headlights are still covered, so we don't know what kind of jeweling has been done, but the shape does appear identical to the current model. Overall, the changes appear totally in line with a mid-cycle refresh.
As we explained previously, a plug-in Cayenne is on the way. It will join a crop of engines that is likely to be similar to what's on offer today, with naturally aspirated, turbocharged, hybrid and diesel variants released over time.
Porsche rules out Macan, 911 hybrids
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Believe it or not, between the 918 Spyder, the Cayenne and the Panamera, Porsche offers more plug-in hybrid models than any other brand. Yes, Porsche. But don't expect that trend to continue. At least, not in the immediate future.
According to Top Gear, the E-Hybrid powertrain in the Cayenne and Panamera is too big to fit into the smaller Macan. A future hybrid system could be small enough to fit, but with the current technology still fresh, that'd still be some ways down the twisting road.
It stands to reason, then, that if the system wouldn't fit in the Macan, it wouldn't fit in the Boxster or Cayman, either. But what of the 911? Surely Porsche would like to stick it to BMW and its new i8, and proved it could do a hybrid 911 when it rolled the GT3 R Hybrid (pictured) out onto the race track over four years ago. But Zuffenhausen is reportedly in no rush to put that idea into production - not for the current 911 and not for the next one, either.
