This car is an all original (except for the updated porsche wheels)  sorry I do not have the original wheels- 3 owner car.  This car has been well-maintained for all of its years- and has only been a weekend driver.  Low miles for its age.

Professionally maintained by Foreign Affairs in Lexington KY 859-309-1919
Shawn has done most of the maintenance on my car.  All records are yours to have.

Chain Tension update kit, Heater and AC work well- new blower motor last year- new window motors and switches-  fuel injector seals.  Targa top in great shape- rebuilt clips-  no leaks.  It has an Alpine stereo with 6 cd changer-  everything about this car is appropriate to 1981.  New boston amplifier 2012.  New dry cell style battery.

I have 2 car covers for it- one soft- one waterproof-   garage kept.  Have Bentley 1978-1988 Service manual- and original tool-kit- gloves and all.   Original floormats and a second set on top so the originals are in mint condition.  Paint is in amazing shape- a few small rock dings on front nose-   and the tan leather interior is in very good condition-  dashboard has no cracks- but the leather is pulling up slightly from one edge as is typical.  Does not leak oil- maybe a few drops over a 3 month period.

Overall this car is in very good shape.  Get in it and drive it anywhere.

Come to Lexington, KY and see it for yourself- take it for a drive-  take it to a mechanic for inspection.   This is a very nice solid car.

Email via ebay- or call me with questions.  Phone 859-396-7118

Cash only - accepted for this car.  You arrange shipment-  or fly in and drive it home.  Happy to help you work out the details.

Porsche 911 GT2 caught testing, is super bad

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Look what spy photographers have spotted sprinting around the Nürburgring. Our shooters nabbed a few photos of the all-new Porsche 911 GT2 in its native habitat without any of the bulky camouflage or cladding we're used to seeing. The result is our first truly clear view at the upcoming successor to the GT2 throne. From the looks of it, the new model will boast wider fender arches front and rear, and hefty air intakes set into the machine's hips should help feed a beastly 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine. Early guesses put the engine output somewhere around 560 horsepower.
Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the engine should propel this rear-engined heathen to 62 miles per hour in under three seconds. Top speed? Try somewhere around 200 mph. If that's true, the next-generation 911 GT2 will be the fastest 911 in Porsche history.

New J.D. Power Initial Quality Study puts Porsche, GM in spotlight

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

J.D. Power and Associates has released its annual Initial Quality Study, and this year, Porsche and General Motors took the spotlight. The study, which asks new car owners to report problems experienced during the first 90 days of ownership, found that overall, the industry averages 113 problems per 100 vehicles.
Porsche managed a score of just 80 problems per 100 vehicles, while GMC took the second spot on the podium with 90. Lexus filled out the top three with 94 problems per 100 vehicles, followed by Infiniti at 95 and Chevrolet at 97. The study also looks at specific models, and found the Lexus LS to enjoy the best initial quality at 59 problems per 100 vehicles.
Interestingly enough, the report found that around two-thirds of most owner problems experienced in the first 90 days are attributable to vehicle design instead of mechanical failure. Specifically - echoing a refrain we've been hearing for the last few years - owners are having a hard time figuring out how to use the technology present in their new vehicles. Head over to the J.D. Power site for more information, or scroll down below for the company's related press release.

Infiniti cribs new US boss from Porsche

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Just weeks before he was supposed to become CEO of Porsche Cars Australia, Infiniti has apparently offered Porsche COO and Executive Vice President Michael Bartsch a deal he couldn't refuse. Thus, Bartsch has join the company as Vice President of Infiniti Americas, the luxury marque's top North American post. Bartsch replaces Ben Poore, who has been with the automaker since 2008, having led both a 22-percent sales surge in 2012 and the brand's current sales slough, Automotive News reports.
Bartsch, Porsche's No. 2 US executive, has held the COO and Executive Vice President positions at Porsche since 2005 and was scheduled to become CEO of Porsche's Oz division on September 1. Infiniti has experienced a number of recent personnel changes in the past week: it named Vincent Gillet, formerly an executive for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, to lead its marketing efforts worldwide and Simon Cox, a former designer for automakers including Ford and Peugeot, to head a new design studio in London.
Poore reportedly will pursue other interests outside of the auto industry. Read more about the personnel change in the press release below.
