Your bidding on a cool Slant Nose Wide Body head turning Porsche 911. If you don't like attention this vehicle is not for you because everywhere I go I am asked about this one of a kind Porsche. I am the fourth owner of the vehicle, the first two owners lived in New Mexico so this is a rust free vehicle in great condition for the age. This is a none smoker vehicle and is very nice inside as you can see in photos. It has leather and alligator seats and they are very nice. In the past few years the alternator, clutch/pressure plate, front wheel bearings have been replaced. Also the rear tires are brand new, the front tires will need to be replaced soon. The carpet and seats have also been replaced. This unique vehicle has the all steel wide body/slant nose kit installed--this was done prior to me buying this vehicle and is a perfect job, with very good quality workmanship. The cloth top is showing a little wear but is still very presentable. The car runs great and is dependable and I have really enjoyed it. Father-son team grows close by building tuned Porsche
Mon, 21 Jul 2014We've seen several heartwarming videos of kids bonding over cars with their parents, whether racing together or giving them as gifts. The story of Leh Keen and his father McGrath, though, is somewhat different. Not many dads are looking for a vehicle quite this mental.
As Leh tells it, his dad saw a video online of one of the wild Porsches from Japanese tuner Rauh-Welt Begriff and decided that he needed one of the creations in his own garage. Since Leh knows something about cars himself as a driver for Alex Job Racing in the United SportsCar Championship, McGrath put his son in charge of managing the build from the company.
When the car made it to the US for completion from Rauh's famed builder Nakai, father and son bonded over the red, widebody 993-platform 911. The final product is certainly eye-catching. Car companies may need to start curbing model proliferation
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Looking at the current automotive landscape, especially from German makers, you quickly get the impression that less definitely isn't more. BMW alone offers its 3 Series platform in practically every segment possible, including the regular sedan and 4 Series Gran Coupe, which would seem to be direct competitors. Porsche might be the winner, though, with 20 different variants of the 911 listed for sale on its US website. However, some of this model madness might be reaching an end as companies begin cutting back spending or shifting money to other priorities.
According to Yahoo Finance, the offerings from the German automakers are up 25 percent over the past three years to over 200 models in Europe. The peak is expected to come around 2018 at 230 separate vehicles, according to consulting company PwC.
Amazingly, BMW, which is among the poster children for this model explosion, might be changing its tune. "I'm sure there will be points in the future where we look at certain cars and say, 'Maybe we need to think differently now,'" said head of sales Ian Robertson in an interview, according to Yahoo Finance. The statement certainly sounds shocking coming from a company rumored to have 23 front-wheel-drive vehicles all using a single platform on the way.
