Your bidding on a cool Slant Nose Wide Body head turning Porsche 911. If you don't like attention this vehicle is not for you because everywhere I go I am asked about this one of a kind Porsche. I am the fourth owner of the vehicle, the first two owners lived in New Mexico so this is a rust free vehicle in great condition for the age. This is a none smoker vehicle and is very nice inside as you can see in photos. It has leather and alligator seats and they are very nice. In the past few years the alternator, clutch/pressure plate, front wheel bearings have been replaced. Also the rear tires are brand new, the front tires will need to be replaced soon. The carpet and seats have also been replaced. This unique vehicle has the all steel wide body/slant nose kit installed--this was done prior to me buying this vehicle and is a perfect job, with very good quality workmanship. The cloth top is showing a little wear but is still very presentable. The car runs great and is dependable and I have really enjoyed it. There is a $500.00 non-refundable deposit required at the end of the auction. You are welcome to look at the vehicle at any time-just contact me. Please send any questions you may have and good luck bidding!

Porsche forum claims eco-friendly 911 Blu coming to Frankfurt
Thu, 01 Aug 2013The fiftieth anniversary of the Porsche 911 has been a nearly year-long affair, with unique tributes and even a special anniversary edition with plenty of retro throwbacks. The party is expected to continue through the end of 2013, and if one 911 enthusiast forum is right, we'll see yet another special edition model near the anniversary of the original car's September 1963 debut, when it arrives at next month's Frankfurt Auto Show.
It's called the 911 Blu, and where the 911 50 Years Edition was more expensive than a 911 Carrera S hardtop, the Blu would be an entry level special edition. That's right, a limited run car that actually slots in at the very bottom of the 911 range. According to Porsche forum 911UK.com, the new car would be priced at 74,600 euros ($98,718 at today's rates) or 64,750 pounds. That undercuts the price of a base 911 in Germany by nearly 16,000 euros and in the UK by nearly 8700 pounds (although to be fair, it's roughly identical to the price of a base 911 C2S in the US).
This 911 will reportedly feature a detuned flat-six with 300 horsepower and 211 pound-feet of torque.
2014 Porsche 911 Targa takes its crop-top off in Motor City
Mon, 13 Jan 2014Back in 1965, Porsche invented the 911 Targa as a matter necessity. Believing that a finicky National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was prepared to outlaw convertibles, the innovative automaker created the half-open car as a way to keep wind rushing through owners' hair. Though far removed from those formative days, it seems as though the 2015 Porsche 911 Targa has come to the Detroit Auto Show with a new-school version of some old-school tech.
While the last Targa featured a trick sliding glass roof at the touch of the button, the new car dramatically swallows a traditional-looking panel via an exceptionally complex-looking mechanical operation. The net result is "the same fun factor and freedom" that can be had with a complete convertible, though with slightly more open-driving protection while underway.
And, as is the case with all of the current 911 range, getting underway can be done with reasonable rapidity. The entry-level Targa 4 rocks a 350-horsepower, 3.4-liter flat-six engine just behind the rear axle, making that car good for 175 miles per hour at the top end (with the seven-speed manual, 174 mph with PDK) and a 0-to-60 sprint of 4.6 seconds. The Targa 4S, meanwhile, offers 400 horsepower from 3.8-liters of boxer six, runs to 60 in 4.2 seconds and hits a top "track speed" of 183 mph.
Evo sets up duel of Porsche 911s
Thu, 20 Mar 2014What's better, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive? That question has occupied auto enthusiasts for years, and so far, we've not really had a solid answer one way or the other. Evo has opted to take another whack at this tough question by pairing a pair of Porsche 911s against each other for a track battle.
In one corner, we have the two-wheel-drive 911 Carrera S, complete with the lickity-split PDK transmission, a sports suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. In the other corner, it's the all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4S in a much mellower spec, with a seven-speed manual, as well as standard brakes and suspension. While the results seem like they'd be a foregone conclusion, some very British weather is there to act as the great equalizer.
We've got the full video down below. Have a look, and let us know if you agree with Evo's results.
