1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe with 21,220 original miles! No Reserve!

Excellent condition. Everything works (except for the windshield washers & cigarette lighter), New Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires, 2 Keys with wheel lock keys, Owner’s Manual, some records, original bra with leather case, and 1986 Porsche catalog! Three owner car. Certificate of Authenticity. Clean Carfax.  Just had Pre-Purchase Inspection performed by Reid Vann in St. Louis, Missouri: call them at 314-968-4100.  They say it is a very nice car that needs a few little things.  Mostly original paint; the door and hood were sprayed according to Reid Vann, but no evidence of body damage, body work, or filler.  There are a few stone chips on the front.  The body is very straight and clean otherwise.  The interior is fantastic!  The wheels are in great shape.  Engine and transmission are great!  This 911 has been used very sparingly in the last 27 years and is loaded up with some rare options.  As per the Certificate of Authenticity:

Options include:

  • Heated Seat L/R
  • Blaupunkt Radio
  • Limited Slip Differential
  • Central Locking System
  • Forged Alloy Wheels
  • Rear Window Wiper
  • Full Power Seat – Right, Cruise Control
  • Spoiler F/R
  • Sport Shock Absorbers
  • Alarm System
  • Electric Sliding Sunroof
  • US Standard Emissions
  • Pirelli Tires

This Porsche runs great and is a blast to drive!  These '80s 911s are getting harder and harder to find in nice shape with low miles.  This is a very honest example of a Carrera with extremely low miles that is only going up in value.  It is a fun and rewarding car that is a future classic!

This is why we love the Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

In the world of restomods, Singer Vehicle Designs is inarguably one of our absolute favorites. The company, founded by rocker Rob Dickinson, has made its name as an obsessive constructor of vintage, built-to-order Porsche 911s with modern internals and beautiful accouterments.
Xcar has put together a lengthy interview with Dickinson, covering the source of his fascination with the 911 and his passion for automotive design, before falling into his rock-and-roll days with his band Catherine Wheel. He also covers how he got into the world of modifying Porsches, rather than just restoring them. There's much, much more in the video, though, and we promise, you won't want to miss it.
Take a look.

Porsche wants you to 3D print your own Cayman

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Have you got access to a 3D printer? Well lucky you, because as we're rapidly learning, the possibilities are virtually endless. And if your tastes lean towards the automotive (as we'd assume they do if you're reading this page), we've got good news.
Porsche has just released 3D printing data for the Cayman S so you can three-dimensionally print out your own and customize to your heart's content. Now Porsche hasn't specified just to what scale the data will allow you to print your Cayman, but we have a feeling that'd mostly be limited by the size of the printer at your disposal. Check it out in the video below and follow the link to the Porsche site to download the file.

Raiding The Porsche Museum For A Fun Track Day
It seems everyone is celebrating anniversaries this year: it's Aston's hundredth, Lamborghini's fiftieth, Ford Mustang's fiftieth, Chevy Corvette's sixtieth - and Tesla just turned ten or something. It's been a little out of hand, frankly, all these forced marketing festivities, but if we had to pick one milestone to really celebrate hard and party all night, the Porsche 911 would be at the top of our list.
Get ready for a major 911 blowout bash at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show. It was on September 12 back in 1963 at this very show where Porsche unveiled its "901" painted in a rather boring shade of beige. Though drably finished, the car caused a worldwide frenzy in the budding German sports car sphere.
