1995 Porsche 911/993. 1995 was the first year for the 993 model of the 911. The 95 models were the only year that did not have OBD2 and do not suffer from some of the engine check light problems of the later cars. This is a very nice, one owner CA car. It has higher mileage but has been well maintained and looks like a 50k mile car. The paint is on the excellent side of driver quality. There are some minor flaws and stone chips on the bumpers, but you have to get very close to see them. The tan interior is excellent and shows hardly any wear. The car runs/drives/brakes as it should and is very nice to cruise around in. The top needs to be raised and lowered manually, it sounds like the cables need to be updated. A local viewing is welcomed and encouraged. We are happy to help buyers worldwide with shipping and logistics.

Why you must buy an air-cooled Porsche 911 now
Fri, 14 Feb 2014"Because" might be a good response to our headline, but as a vintage (purists might call 'proper') Porsche 911 is hardly cheap, we suspect you'll need a better explanation than that. Enter Drive editor Mike Spinelli.
Spinelli sits down with Zac Moseley and Mick Prichinello from Classic Car Club Manhattan to first explain why the market for old, air-cooled 911s has gotten so hot over the past few years, and to discuss if it's a bubble that's about to burst. Following that, this video is really is just three guys sitting around talking about old Porsches for 35 minutes. Which, you know, we're pretty onboard with.

Can a Corvette really be compared to a 911 with options costing more than the Chevy?
Wed, 29 Jan 2014In this latest video from Drive, Chris Harris asks straight away, "Can you still compare a base Corvette to a Porsche Carerra?" That's an particularly interesting question in this film, as the 911 in question is a 400-horsepower Carrera S model that's been fitted with $60,000 in options. Base price of a Corvette Stingray? $51,995. Harris' tester features an automatic and some other goodies that push it right up to that $60,000 range. So yes, the options on the Porsche cost as much as this entire 460-hp Chevrolet.
Harris stresses that this isn't a full review, but he does exercise both cars in a more composed manner before reverting to his traditionally exuberant driving style. The impressions are, as always, spot on, with Harris favoring the pointy nature and V8 power of the Stingray, while enjoying the gearbox (Porsche's exceptional PDK transmission) and just about everything else on the 911.
Take a look below for the latest video from Drive, and let us know if you agree with Mr. Harris' views on these two sports cars.
Porsche planning new 911 Speedster as 550 tribute
Tue, 12 Nov 2013Some look at the emergence of a new Porsche 911 and see a car. But to Porsche engineers, it might as well be a reset button. Because every time a new 911 comes out, it sets off a tidal wave of new variants to follow, including convertibles, turbos, targas, GT3s... the works.
The next down the pipeline, though, could be one of the most desirable. That, according to German publication Auto Bild, will be a new 911 Speedster. When it arrives early in 2015, the special roadster will reportedly be limited to just 550 examples in tribute to the original 550 Spyder.
It'll reportedly have hidden door handles, a chopped-down windshield and a fabric top to be used only in case of emergency, manually disappearing below a carbon-fiber cowling. All of which makes it sounds as much like a bigger version of the Boxster Spyder as a successor to the last 911 Speedster (pictured above), and that's no bad thing at all.
