We are helping a customer to list his car,
This is a rare ( only 345 were made in between 1197 and 1998 ) 993 Turbo S, 1997 with all the options.
Since 2001, shortly after he bought the car from Michael Ovitz (president of the Walt Disney Company at that time),
with 1,500 miles, all the maintenance was done for Autobahn Service Inc, in Fairfax.VA. so we have the information
and we can answer your questions.
The car was driven regularly all the time to and from work 9 miles away. Probably 20 miles a day from the last 15
years, it is COMPLETLY ORIGINAL, it was NEVER abused or MISTREATED and it shows.
Car paint is original and in excellent condition with no dents, just a few small imperfections, and mild acid rain
on the upper part of the body.
Over its entire life the only parts repainted were;
In a garage years ago the car had a scratch in the left rear fender extension and was repainted in that area, and
recently the front and rear bumper covers.
Interior is in excellent condition, dash is perfect, carbon fiber is not warped or unglue, driver and passenger
leather seats do not have signs of wear, just some wrinkles that you can expect from a 20 years old leather.
Carbon fiber steering wheel detail has some resine cracks,.
Driver door stop was repaired and reinforced, after left front fender was removed.
In 2013 with 97,000 miles the clutch and all additional preventive work were done while the engine and transmission
were out of the car.
Secondary air injection passages were cleaned, air valves were replaced two times in its life, one at 65,000 and
another at 104,000 miles.
All the services and maintenance were done in a regular basis all the time.
THIS CAR IS RARE AND A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY.

Porsche becomes first company to rent out Vatican's Sistine Chapel

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

We wouldn't go so far as to say God is a Porsche fan, but those in charge of one of the holiest Christian spots on our little blue marble are welcoming the German automaker into one of the religion's most revered and beautiful settings - the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. In so doing, Porsche will reportedly become the first company to rent out the holy hall for a corporate function.
Now, it's not like Pope Francis has signed off on Porsche doing do donuts in a 911 underneath Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam. Instead, the Vatican has rented out the home of the Papal Conclave to the Porsche Travel Club, which will host a classical music concert. The Travel Club organizes events and tours across Europe for Porsche enthusiasts, with the Vatican concert just one part of a tour of Rome.
According to Automotive News Europe, Porsche will sell 40 tickets - at 5,000 euros each ($6,379) - to the event, while the Vatican has confirmed that the Pope will not be in attendance.

2012 TechArt Porsche 911 is visually dazzling, both inside and out

Wed, 07 Mar 2012

One way to ensure that your brand-new Porsche 911 (a.k.a. 991) won't look like the one in your neighbor's driveway is to give TechArt a call. The famed German tuner has rolled out its version of the latest Carrera and Carrera S at the Geneva Motor Show and trust us, it won't be mistaken for anything from the factory in Stuttgart.
Up front, TechArt has fitted its own unique two-part spoiler with integrated splitter while more aggressive side skirts adorn the rocker panels. The rear has a new lower diffuser, wrapped around the TechArt exhaust, and a large fixed rear wing (complete with an integrated third brake light). Look more closely to notice the subtle trim panels on the exterior mirrors and front headlights. The wheels are lightweight forged 20- and 21-inch alloys with matching paint on their rims.
Inside the heavily modified cabin are even more drastic enhancements (let's say TechArt has gone over the top). Don't let the aluminum pedals be a distraction as you inspect the black Alcantara and high-grade leather covering nearly every square inch. Flirting with gaudy, the dark upholstery is contrasted by vehicle-color-coordinated stitching and painted trim splashed throughout. However, the icing on the cake is an insanely thick TechArt three-spoke sports steering wheel.

1986 Porsche 959 Prototype at Barrett-Jackson sees gavel fall at $440,000 [UPDATE: w/video]

Sat, 19 Jan 2013

Fans of Porsche in America have longed for the chance to buy a 959 ever since the German automaker produced and sold it (well, sold it everywhere but the United States...) in the 1980s. Well, they just had their chance. The car you see above is a Porsche 959 prototype built in 1986, and only one other running prototype still exists.
The 959 prototype can't be driven on public roads, as it carries no such certification. Somehow, we doubt that matters all that much to the new buyer - this one is probably going to be sitting in a collection. When the gavel finally fell, bidding had reached $400,000, plus a 10-percent buyer's fee.
Check out our high-res image gallery above to see this prototype up close, and scroll down below to watch a video of it crossing the auction block and for its official auction description.
