I’ve owned the car for an all-to-brief three years, and enjoyed my 30,000 miles. Total mileage is 70,000. Dealer and independently serviced – I have service records for my term of ownership. Battery in 2014, brakes – full rear and partial front in 2013. New air-conditioning in 2012. Mobil 1 (for all the good it did). Body and interior is in excellent condition except for a small boink on the front bumper just above the license plate. Speed yellow over black interior. Sunroof, 6-speed, two sets of wheels. Continentals at mid-life, and a set of snows with two seasons. Engine went without warning. Believed to be sudden oil starvation, but engine has not been torn down. Everything else works. If you want a project, this is it. The car is not drivable. Sold as-is, where-is. Clear NY title is in hand. No loan, no liens. Car may be picked up at Northtown Porsche near Buffalo, NY. 'Ring Queen Sabine Schmitz battles Ron Simons in Porsche vs Ferrari scrap

RSR Nürburgring recently took the time to pit Sabine Schmitz and her slightly modified Porsche 911 GT3 RS against Ron Simons and his Ferrari 458 Italia in a sparring match around the infamous Green Hell. The clip begins with the two drivers engaging in a smidgeon of smack talk before the two get down to the business of beating each other's doors off around one of the most challenging courses in the world. Simons calls his car superior to Schmitz's 911, while Schmitz says she's up against nothing more than a Fiat driven by an old Dutch man.
Don't hold any punches, you two.

Chevy Corvette Stingray defeating rivals where it matters most
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Everything is coming up roses for the award-winning Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, as new data from the North American Dealers Association dissected by GM Authority reveals that America's sports car is handily outselling two of its more expensive rivals.
Through June of 2014, the NADA notes that the Corvette has rung up 17,744 sales, handily besting the Porsche 911 and positively spanking the SRT Viper. Of course, you're sitting there thinking, "Corvette is outselling the much more expensive Porsche and Viper. Sky blue, water wet." But what's impressive here is just how thoroughly the Chevrolet is beating its two rivals, with this data serving as a testament to just how popular the seventh-generation sports car has become.
So far this year, Porsche has managed to move 5,169 911s, according to NADA. Considering that the base model starts at nearly $15,000 more than the most heavily optioned Stingray, and that Porsche owners have a vast, expensive options catalogue to select from, Stuttgart's sales are still plenty impressive in relation to the nearly 18,000 Corvettes sold.
Porsche's 959 is still poster-worthy after all these years
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Today, we have the Porsche 918 Spyder. Before that, there was the Carrera GT. While both of those cars are dramatic departures from the traditional, rear-engine Porsche formula, they owe their very existence to another wild child of the iconic German brand - the 959.
Like so many of the great performance cars of yesteryear, the 959 was a homologation special, built just so Porsche could go racing in the clinically insane Group B rally series. Fewer than 400 959s hit the streets, but those that did were some of the most advanced cars of the 1980s. A rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged flat-six sent its power through a still-rare all-wheel-drive system, creating a race-inspired rocket that was, for a short time, the fastest production car on the planet.
