I am Selling my 2001 Porsche Carrera. Do not want to but investments must me made elsewhere.
This car was bought by me from California, this car has seen no snow or salt.
I have had this car for a handful of years with almost no issues but one.
The head cracked. So I had the motor rebuilt at the Porsche dealer here in Cincinnati. I have a full 11k receipt for this and was done just a few years ago. May even have warranty left on it. When rebuilt they installed newer upgraded parts so the issue should not return. All service has been performed at this dealer.
I was scraped a by a drunk driver months ago so there is that on the car history. All repaired NO frame damage.
I have also had a professional stereo GPS system put in. I am a audio engineer and listen to mixes in my car so this is NOT a young kid boom system or cheap. I invested 4 k into it with only high quality components. The best part is you can't see it. All the system is behind the factory grills.

EVERYTHING works great, drives great. Here are some details:

Newer Alternator
Rebuilt motor by Porsche with documentation
All new hoses
All new belts
New water pump
Brand new tires
Factory installed sport exhaust
Manual Transmission

A few chips on hood
A litte curb rash
Window tint int is starting to show a scratch or two.
Tail light has a chip but car comes with 2 brand new in the box tail lights.
Code error on Cat.

Sorry for the poor pics, snow outside. More pics available upon request.

The car was inspected by the Ohio DOT after wreck and has a title that can be plated. I have plates and have been driving this car. No issues.
The motor alone is worth 12k
Willing to take offers but ridiculous ones will not warrant a response.
I am also selling local so may put from eBay upon local sell.

Porsche offering short-term loans to Macan waitlisters

    Wed, 02 Jul 2014

Walk into a Porsche dealer today, place an order for a Macan and you'll be looking at a waiting period of six months or more before you can expect delivery. That may be common enough for high-end European automakers, but the Macan is meant to lure new buyers to the brand, and the waitlist could be enough to deter them from sticking around.
The solution? Offer to lease them a Boxster or Cayman until their new Macan arrives. Shorter in term that the usual new-car lease, these six-month terms are designed to keep buyers from turning their backs, all the while experiencing the kind of vehicle Porsche does best.
Of course it doesn't hurt that the dealer then gets a used sports car to sell again once the short-term lease is up. And we wouldn't be surprised to see some buyers asking to hold on to their mid-engined sports car for a little longer, either.

Leno buys classic Porsche 356 Carrera 2, seeks out and finds perfect expert for help

    Mon, 19 Aug 2013

The world of collector cars is fairly tight-knit when you get down to individual models. Need proof? Just take a look at this latest video from Jay Leno's Garage. The subject is a gorgeous 1963 Porsche 356 Carrera 2. Jay, being known as quite a collector, got a call from someone looking to sell. While doing his due diligence and looking for a 356 expert to go over the car with him, he came across John Willhoit.
Where the story gets weird is when Leno is asked the license plate number - it turns out that Willhoit, owner of Willhoit Restorations, had restored the exact same car more than 30 years prior. He then sold it to the same person that was looking to give it to Leno. What follows is a truly interesting video on the little quirks of the 356, along with Willhoit's personal history on a car he hadn't seen since 1976.
This is a bit more mechanically detailed than Leno's normal videos, but it's on a very interesting subject. Take a look below for the entire film.

Porsche 911 RSR stops just long enough to have its photo taken

    Tue, 04 Mar 2014

When it comes to Porsche and its rapidly escalating endurance racing program, all eyes may be on the new 919 Hybrid - and with good reason: that's the vehicle with which Porsche will be challenging the likes of Audi and Toyota for wins in the top-tier LMP1 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship and at Le Mans. But it's the 911 RSR that does and will continue to form the backbone of the factory's effort.
The 470-horsepower racing version of the road-going 911 took a one-two finish in its class at Le Mans last year, and also won its class at the Daytona 24 this past January as well. This year Porsche will field two of them in the WEC, another two in the United SportsCar Championship here in the US and will sell countless more to customer racing teams that will undoubtedly continue to rack up trophies in racing series around the world. This, then, might be a unique chance to see one standing still. Check it out in our gallery of live images above from the Geneva Motor Show.
