2002 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo Coupe, 61k miles, 6-speed, Arctic Silver Metallic w/ supple black leather. Bridgestone Potenzas w/ less than 1500 miles on them. All recent service up to date including new clutch and slave cylinder at that time a factory Porsche short shift kit installed making it much more responsive and nimble. The full 60k mile maintenance service has also been completed. There was no expense spared on ANY maintenance and have ALL receipts to prove it (including over $31,000.00 worth of maintenace records from Factory Porsche Dealer), Super Clean condition throughout. Never modified. There is too much to list but a few options are sunroof, shifter and e-brake w/ aluminum inlay, thicker leather steering wheel, heated front seats, Porsche crest in headrests, original Turbo twist wheels, Xenon headlamps, CD player, top-of-the-line front and rear covert Passport SR7 radar, Bose sound, etc.. The original sticker was $117,000 and this is a fine example of a well maintained machine. Nonsmoker and no rips, tears or discoloration to the seats and interior. I have all the books, manuals, keys, records from '09 jack, spare, tools, Porsche car cover and bag, clean Carfax and clear Texas title. A/C is ICE-COLD! You will not find a nicer example with this many miles and well maintenanced, plus it was just serviced. It is detailed and ready to go, needs nothing. Kept indoors and covered. No stories and no excuses. There may be 911 Turbos out there for low 40k's, but this one has all the service done and is good as a low milage one. Simply outstanding and original. $44.9K.

The Bad: the front 3M Clear mask is showing signs of age.

Absolutely NO FLUID Leaks!!! (See Pics)

Porsche working on turbo V12 for Putin limo project?

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Porsche is best known for building very well-regarded sports cars and better-selling utility vehicles. Come to the company with a big enough bag of cash, though, and the Porsche Engineering division can create just about anything. The group's past projects include working with Harley-Davidson, Mercedes-Benz and corporate cousin Audi, but if rumors prove true, then its latest partner might be the last one you'd expect.
Russian website Wroom reports that Porsche Engineering is building the engine for the Project Cortege government limousine project for Russian president Vladimir Putin. The mill is supposedly a turbocharged V12 displacing between 6.0- and 6.6-liters and making around 800 horsepower. When complete, it will reportedly be built by ZMZ with Russian-sourced parts.
The limo is expected to debut in 2017, according to Wroom, but it's just the beginning of Putin's grandiose plans, which also goes by the name of the Motorcade Project. The same platform is also meant to underpin several vehicles for use by the government, including an SUV, a small bus and a sedan. All of them would reportedly have a longitudinally mounted engine and all-wheel drive.

Motor Trend holds World's Greatest Drag Race for the third time

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

As part of Motor Trend's Best Driver's Car competition, the buff book has held its third iteration of the World's Greatest Drag Race. With an airfield and a dozen of the world's finest performance cars at its disposal (oh, and a helicopter), the MT team did what any good group of enthusiasts would do, and tried to figure what car could cover a quarter mile the quickest. World's greatest drag race, indeed.
The contestants, as MT points out, cover a huge variety of engine types, drivelines, aspiration types and body styles, making for a genuinely varied and interesting field of competitors. Here's the full list of cars taking part.

2012 TechArt Porsche 911 is visually dazzling, both inside and out

Wed, 07 Mar 2012

One way to ensure that your brand-new Porsche 911 (a.k.a. 991) won't look like the one in your neighbor's driveway is to give TechArt a call. The famed German tuner has rolled out its version of the latest Carrera and Carrera S at the Geneva Motor Show and trust us, it won't be mistaken for anything from the factory in Stuttgart.
Up front, TechArt has fitted its own unique two-part spoiler with integrated splitter while more aggressive side skirts adorn the rocker panels. The rear has a new lower diffuser, wrapped around the TechArt exhaust, and a large fixed rear wing (complete with an integrated third brake light). Look more closely to notice the subtle trim panels on the exterior mirrors and front headlights. The wheels are lightweight forged 20- and 21-inch alloys with matching paint on their rims.
Inside the heavily modified cabin are even more drastic enhancements (let's say TechArt has gone over the top). Don't let the aluminum pedals be a distraction as you inspect the black Alcantara and high-grade leather covering nearly every square inch. Flirting with gaudy, the dark upholstery is contrasted by vehicle-color-coordinated stitching and painted trim splashed throughout. However, the icing on the cake is an insanely thick TechArt three-spoke sports steering wheel.
