HELLO, MY NAME IS CLEM AND I AM SELLING THIS CAR FOR THE OWNER. THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE THIS 36,000 MILE PORSCHE WOULD BE A DIAMOND IN THE (SLIGHT) ROUGH. THE MECHANICS OF THE PORSCHE ARE EXCELLENT. IT RUNS, DRIVES(AND IT DOES DRIVE VERY FAST)AND STOPS LIKE IT SHOULD. THE REAR SPOILER, THE SUNROOF, THE POWER WINDOWS AND THE POWER SEATS ALONG WITH THE GAUGES AND THE LIGHTS ALL ARE IN PROPER WORKING CONDITION. THERE IS A PIONEER HDD MULTIMEDIA AV NAVIGATION SERVER, MODEL AVIC-Z2, IN THE DASH. THE LEATHER INTERIOR IS IN NICE CONDITION, THE ONLY BLEMISH IS A SMALL SPOT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PASSENGER SEAT. YOU CAN SEE THIS IN THE PICTURES. AS YOU CAN ALSO SEE IN THE PICTURES IS THAT THE PAINT AND BODY PRESENTS WELL. BUT THERE ARE SOME MISCELLANEOUS SCRATCHES AND BLEMISHES IN THE PAINT. THERE ARE NO MAJOR SCRATCHES OR DENTS. THE ONLY BODY ISSUE ARE SEVERAL MINOR DINGS IN THE LEFT REAR UPPER QUARTER PANEL. I TOOK PICTURES OF THE DINGS, BUT THEY ARE HARD TO SEE. ALSO THERE IS CURB RASH ON THE WHEELS. OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT BUY. THERE IS NO RESERVE AND I THINK THAT THE $25,000 STARTING PRICE IS MORE THAN RESONABLE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK. THANKS FOR LOOKING.

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S
Wed, 04 Sep 2013A Wicked-Fast Street Legal Multi-Tool
Walter Röhrl was carving up the circuit in the Porsche 911 Turbo S like a skilled Jedi Master - and I was sitting next to him, mesmerized by the breathtaking show. I had strapped myself securely into the front passenger bucket of the all-new coupe less than a minute earlier, expecting nothing more than a few quick laps around a track at the hands of another celebrated race driver. Been there, done that. Many times, actually.
Yet this was different. Röhrl was not only calculated and methodical in his approach, but his rally-tuned cerebrum appeared to be actively reading available grip levels while effortlessly tossing the all-wheel-drive Porsche into each corner at gut-wrenching speeds. His hands were moving rapidly, sending tiny steering corrections to the front tires, and he was using every inch of the track to extract more speed. We launched over a curb, dropped a wheel in the dirt and then drifted around a wide off-camber turn. His human precision and focus was astounding, and the performance he was extracting from the machine was just short of breathtaking.
Porsche patent sketches show removable headrest wind deflector
Mon, 21 Oct 2013While driving around in a convertible might seem glamorous, ask anyone with long hair and they'll likely tell you how it really is: the wind buffets, your hair goes everywhere and it's anything but glamorous. That's why you see so many convertibles driving with their tops up, their windows up or wind deflectors in place. But Porsche is apparently preparing to kick it up to the next level.
These patent drawings have leaked out, demonstrating what appears to be some new kind of wind-deflecting device being developed by Porsche. The mechanism is apparently fitted to the headrest itself and designed to keep the wind buffeting specifically around the head down to a minimum while allowing the car's occupants to enjoy the top-down driving experience.
No word on when it might hit the market, but we won't be surprised to see this kind of device appear on a future version of the Boxster or 911 Cabriolet. But nowhere else: despite the apparent leak, the patent drawings suggest that Porsche will be keeping this technology proprietary. Whether sister brands like Volkswagen, Bentley or Lamborghini will get their hands on it remains to be seen.
Porsche ready to pick itself up after Le Mans failure
Mon, 23 Jun 2014It's safe to say that things for Porsche didn't go quite as well at Le Mans this year as it might have hoped. After a sixteen-year gap, the winningest manufacturer in endurance racing history returned to the Circuit de la Sarthe this year hoping maybe not for outright victory in its first time back, but definitely a strong finish on which it could build on for next year. All the while it undoubtedly hoped its 911s would hold their own in the GT classes.
Unfortunately for Porsche, neither happened. After racing around the clock, and despite actually leading the festivities for some time, the best its 919 Hybrid could manage was an eleventh-place finish, lagging lamentably behind not only the other LMP1s (like the race-winning Audi) but also a handful of LMP2s. Meanwhile the LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am titles went to the factory-backed teams of its arch-rivals Ferrari and Aston Martin, respectively.
Not a stellar result, in other words, but Porsche is taking it all in stride - accepting that it has a ways to go while congratulating its vanquishing rivals in the video below. It's good sportsmanship if we've ever seen it. Next year's race starts now.
