2008 911 Turbo with warranty.  Basalt Black Metallic.  Black/Sand Beige Interior.  44,000 miles.  CPO warranty for 6 years/ 100,000 miles.  The warranty is good till 7/31/14 or 100,000 miles. I am the third owner of this car.  I bought the car with 6600 miles 3 years ago at Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro, NC.  Since owning the car, the only warranty work has been the garage door transmitter replacement and the left turbo replacement.  All services have been performed on time and my Porsche mechanic is available to talk to if you have any questions for him.  I take excellent care of my vehicles.   The car is driven typically 4 times a week for work.  The car is typically washed once a week.  The car has the 3M clear bra on front, half hood, mirrors, and below turbo intakes.  Slight tinting on back windows.  I have never tracked the car.  To my knowledge, the car has never been wrecked or involved in an accident.  The 2008 911 Turbo comes loaded stock with Bi Xenon headlights, full leather, Sunroof, Bose Sound, and much more.   I have all manuals that came with car and the laminated original car info sheet.  A Porsche windshield sun screen comes with the car.  Below are the exclusive options to this car.  This has been a great car for me and I am selling because I ordered a new car.  You will be responsible for pickup and transaction will need to be on a Friday during business hours at the cars location.   Bank to bank transfer preferred.  If paying by cashier’s check, I will need to verify with your bank.  US banks only.  Obtain any financing needed before you bid.   Pictures taken on 3/10/13.

Porsche Cayman GT4 speeds back into view

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

We're all familiar with the succession of numbers that follow the letters GT on a hard-core Porsche 911: the GT1 that was Stuttgart's Le Mans contender in the late 90s, the GT2 that packs turbochargers but without the Turbo's all-wheel drive and excess weight, and the naturally aspirated GT3 that's the enthusiast's choice. But a GT4? That's something new, and exactly what Porsche has in store.
Spied testing in Germany once again is the upcoming GT4 version of the Porsche Cayman, set to supersede the existing GTS and take the place of the previous Cayman R at the top of Porsche's junior sports car range. This latest batch of spy shots doesn't show us much more than the last crop, but gives us a much clearer view at what promises to be the most hardcore Cayman to date.
As you can see, the Cayman GT4 packs a much more aggressive aero kit and rolling stock than any version we've seen to date. It's got a lip spoiler, big air dam and GT3-style vent in front of the hood, deep air scoops along the flanks, a set of spindly alloys packing oversized brakes, a diffuser with twin central exhaust tips around back and a rear wing that's likely to be replaced with a sleeker unit before the GT4 reaches production.

Watch Carrera Cup driver Connor de Phillippi's first lap of the N"urburgring

Thu, 23 May 2013

American race driver Connor de Phillippi was recently added to the roster of Porsche Juniors, the arm of Porsche's factory racing program that develops new talent. The 20-year-old is contesting the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland series with FÖRCH Racing by Lukas Motorsport, and last weekend, he raced the series round at the Nürburgring. Starting 15th on the grid, de Phillippi would cross the line in ninth out of 32 finishers.
Courtesy of his in-car camera, you can watch his entire first lap in the video below - there's no music added, just engine whine during nine minutes of crests, turns, bumpy straights and that wicked Carousel. Enjoy.

Autocar pits Porsche 911 Turbo S against Formula 4 racer

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

There is a long-running argument among performance car fans: power vs. weight. In one corner you get cars generally with small engines making modest numbers but able to corner like they are telepathic, and in the other there are big thumping mills that are rocketships in a straight line but lumber in the turns. Autocar takes an interesting look this continuum in a recent video pitting a 552-hp Porsche 911 Turbo S against a 185-hp Formula 4 racecar. It hopes to find whether the Porsche's huge power advantage is enough to defeat the better grip and aero offered by the nimble racer.
There's no doubt that the Porsche is an utterly fantastic road car. The 911 Turbo looks mean with all of those intakes to suck in cool air, and it backs up the posture with huge amounts of grip available thanks to its all-wheel drive-system. However, at 3,538 pounds, it's a bit of a porker compared to the 1,135-pound Formula 4 car. The open-wheel car boasts just a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder from Ford and a six-speed sequential-manual gearbox, but it has loads of downforce to make up for it.
It shouldn't be a surprise that the formula car wins in the corners. After all, that's what it's made for. So do you think the massive horsepower superiority of the Porsche is enough to even the playing field? Scroll down to watch the video and find out, and even if you're not curious of the winner the 911 does some mean powerslides.
