Up for sale is this immaculate 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe. This Porsche has a onyx black exterior with a full black leather interior. This vehicle is super clean and might be one of the cleanest ones available on ebay. This vehicle has a clean carfax report history and is being sold with a clean title as well. We have over 120 photos of this car listed and we also have two videos listed of the car being driven on the highway and another video showing all the equipment in the car is working 100%.
This vehicle is loaded up with all the options you could possibly want. It has xenon headlights, power seats with momory position, PSM (porsche stability management) option, full leather interior option (rare option), All wheel drive, power sunroof, motorized rear spoiler, In-dash CD player, 17 inch alloy wheels, power windows and locks, cruise control, on-board computer system, and the 6-speed manual transmission.
This vehicle also has some aftermarket upgrades as well. It has professionally tinted windows all around done by the porsche dealer, modified exhaust system (sounds great and powerful), Valentine One built-in radar and laser detector, and it has a very expensive TechArt Turbo style front bumper, It also has genuine Porsche clear side lights as well.
This vehicle comes complete with all its original owners manuals and booklets, Porsche leather pouch, all the original floor mats, the unused spare tire, jack and tire iron. We also have the Porsche tire compressor still in its original bag and the Porsche gloves as well. Everything that the car came with as new is still intact.
This vehicle was very well taken cared of and it shows. All the maintenace on the vehicle was just done. We changed the oil, the brakes are brand new all around, the battery is new, The bosch wiper blades are new, and the cross drilled rotors were replaced recently as well. This vehicle is a very nice vehicle and can be picked up and driven back home. Its a really nice vehicle that can be driven daily and you will look like a million bucks doing so.
Mechanically, the vehicle runs and drives great and we have driven it long distances without any problems at all. There are no warning lights on the dashboard of any type and the vehicle runs great with all of its power being responsive and immediate. The only issue with it mechanically is that the timing chain guides will need to be changed at some point. The guides are making a tapping sound that comes and goes. We had it checked out and our mechanic said the guides were making this noise. The noise has been there for over 2 years and its been driven 10,000 miles with that noise, so its not something that needs immediate attention, but it is there and we are just telling you what we know about it. The noise does not affect the way this car drives at all. The car drives great and is very reliable like any other Porsche. The noise does go away when your driving on the highway. The timing chain guides are a common issue with these years 911's because they were made with plastic. They do sell upgraded guide now that are made of better quality material and will last forever.
The exterior of the vehicle is in immaculate condition with no dents, dings, or major scratches to mention. The paint shines like glass and the vehicle looks like its only a couple of years old. The vehicle appears to be garage kept and the body of the vehicle is in above average condition in my opinion.
The interior of the vehicle is in perfect condition as well. There is no major wear anywhere on the leather seats and the trim panels are all very nice and show no real wear. All the interior options work the way they should, and I mean everything works! There is nothing to pick on at all with the cosmetic appearance of this vehicle. This is a nice, well optioned, clean Porsche that will make someone very happy. This is also the best color combination for these cars in my opinion.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you buy the car and are located in my local area, I will deliver it to you FREE of charge. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. We are not responsible for any errors in this description. This description should be used for informational purposes only and not as a warranty or guarantee. We always encourage our buyers and bidders to see the vehicle and bring a mechanic with them BEFORE they bid so that they can see and know what they are buying. With that being said, feel free to email me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns.  Thanks and good luck bidding!

Porsche 911 GT2 RS vs. Mercedes SLS AMG Black in battle of who can shred more rubber

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

We might be looking at the end of an era in European performance models. Mercedes-Benz is doing away with the SLS in favor of a rumored smaller and cheaper SLC, and Porsche has said that a new 911 GT2 isn't necessarily a sure thing, which means another 911 GT2 RS is even farther away. In its latest video, Evo's Jethro Bovingdon pits the ultimate versions of these German sports coupes against each other and finds two of the fastest cars the magazine has ever lapped around its track.
In one corner, there is the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series that sits as the pinnacle of the company's halo model. It relies on the classic setup of a V8 mounted in front powering the rear wheels. On the other side, there is the 911 GT2 RS with a turbocharged flat-six mounted at the back, spinning the rear wheels. It was conceived to be Porsche's ultimate expression of a turbocharged 911, and while it's a few years old, Bovingdon shows that it's up to the task of racing a more modern rival.
Both of these rear-wheel-drive monsters are more than capable of some fantastically smoky power-slides, but they also show how great the last generation of sports cars was. Scroll down to check out the video.

Porsche ready to pick itself up after Le Mans failure

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

It's safe to say that things for Porsche didn't go quite as well at Le Mans this year as it might have hoped. After a sixteen-year gap, the winningest manufacturer in endurance racing history returned to the Circuit de la Sarthe this year hoping maybe not for outright victory in its first time back, but definitely a strong finish on which it could build on for next year. All the while it undoubtedly hoped its 911s would hold their own in the GT classes.
Unfortunately for Porsche, neither happened. After racing around the clock, and despite actually leading the festivities for some time, the best its 919 Hybrid could manage was an eleventh-place finish, lagging lamentably behind not only the other LMP1s (like the race-winning Audi) but also a handful of LMP2s. Meanwhile the LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am titles went to the factory-backed teams of its arch-rivals Ferrari and Aston Martin, respectively.
Not a stellar result, in other words, but Porsche is taking it all in stride - accepting that it has a ways to go while congratulating its vanquishing rivals in the video below. It's good sportsmanship if we've ever seen it. Next year's race starts now.

Mark Webber gets early clearance for Porsche departure

Thu, 28 Nov 2013

If there's no rest for the wicked, there's surely even less rest for the wickedly fast. And make no mistake about it, Mark Webber is wickedly fast. He may not have proven able (or given the opportunity, depending on who you ask) to emerge from Sebastian Vettel's shadow after six seasons partnered with the multiple world champion at Red Bull Racing, but he's still won nine Formula One grands prix, to say nothing of the sports car races he won with Mercedes in the late 90s. But now he's leaving F1 to anchor Porsche's new LMP1 program, and according to the latest reports, he's departing Red Bull for Porsche sooner than expected.
Typically an F1 driver is obliged to stay with his team until the end of the calendar year - not just the end of the racing season - helping out with things like promotional events and fine-tuning next year's car. But news.com.au reports that Red Bull has given him early leave, so once the racing action in Brazil is done on Sunday, he's departing straight for Porsche's racing headquarters in Wiessach, Germany.
It won't be Webber's first visit to the facility, having already swung by to have his new seat fitted. But his early arrival will undoubtedly help him and Porsche get up and running ahead of schedule. The move may have been facilitated by a new sponsorship deal that could see Webber carry Red Bull with him to Le Mans, so don't be too surprised to see the energy drink company's logo on the side of the new Porsche once the new racing season gets under way next year, whether in concert with or instead of the anticipated revival of the Martini Racing livery.
