My 1977 Porsche 911 Targa in excellent condition with low approximately 132,500 miles in Sienna Metallic. This car was restored in 1995, garage kept and driven little since. The restoration included a complete rebuild of the original engine with upgrades such as Carrera tensioners, case savers, pop off valve in air box etc., a complete high quality repaint, targa top and front leather seats restored, new shocks and struts etc. Around this same time a high quality Pioneer am/fm cassette with amp under passenger seat and 4 speakers was added, the stereo sounds fantastic! In 2009 this car had the complete front battery and suspension pan replaced as well as the front valence. I assume this car had some rust from the battery, which precipitated the repairs. This area is now excellent, perhaps better than new (see pics). These repairs cost approximately $8000. 1977 Porsche 911 cars are completely galvanized to prevent rust and this car has no rust at all, the floor pans and all other areas are excellent. The only area that had rust near the battery is fixed to perfection.Engine number is 6273091, which is a US, 911S 1977 so looks to be original to car. I should have a Kardex to verify whether this car is numbers matching in a couple of days and I will add that info as soon as I can. I just completed a 50 hour concourse detailing of every component including the interior, exterior, front trunk and engine compartment. This car runs and drives fantastic, it is an absolute pleasure and needs nothing to be driven or shown. This car includes the spare tire, an excellent jack and a fantastic, complete tool kit which I would value at $1000. Also included is a correct 1977 owner’s manual cover with green interior...

Porsche 991 vs. 930 Flatnose in 911 Turbo convertible faceoff

The Porsche 911 Turbo has a legacy of being a tough car to drive. With a ton of power set right over the rear wheels, its reputation is to lose control as soon as the driver stops concentrating. However, this isn't quite so true anymore. The modern ones are tamed through technology with things like hydraulically controlled engine mounts, not to mention all-wheel drive. In its latest video, Autocar tries to decide whether 25 years of progress really makes the turbo a better vehicle.
It's summer, so what better version to compare than the 911 Turbo Cabriolet? In one corner, Autocar has the latest and greatest 2014 version pumping out 513 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Its challenger is a 1989 911 flatnose convertible sporting 326 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. It's a truly rare car in the UK with only eight of them remaining on the roads in that region.
Granted, this test isn't so much a battle as it is a comparison. There's no question that the modern 911 would beat the classic in practically every objective category. What the video aims to find out is whether the flatnose is better in subjective measurements like its "feel." Scroll down to watch these two droptop Porsches square off.

We live in a blessed time - a time when you can buy not just one, but two (or three, or four) monstrously powerful, blazingly fast four-doors that can't only keep up with modern supercars, but in some instances, will outperform them as well. Two of the finest are the Audi RS7 and the refreshed Porsche Panamera Turbo, and Motor Trend has been messing around with the both of them in this comparison video.
MT provides a comprehensive and entertaining look at the RS7 and the turbocharged Panamera as they go through a battery of tests, before getting tossed about on both the road and the track. Starring flip-flop aficionado Jonny Lieberman, it's a must-watch, whether you're in the market for one of the two super sedans or merely want to see the former Autoblog editor again.

Watch Carrera Cup driver Connor de Phillippi's first lap of the N"urburgring

American race driver Connor de Phillippi was recently added to the roster of Porsche Juniors, the arm of Porsche's factory racing program that develops new talent. The 20-year-old is contesting the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland series with FÖRCH Racing by Lukas Motorsport, and last weekend, he raced the series round at the Nürburgring. Starting 15th on the grid, de Phillippi would cross the line in ninth out of 32 finishers.
Courtesy of his in-car camera, you can watch his entire first lap in the video below - there's no music added, just engine whine during nine minutes of crests, turns, bumpy straights and that wicked Carousel. Enjoy.
