Porsche 911S 1967 This car was purchased by me on Ebay from a California seller from San Diego in 2001. This owner had had the car since new. The car was driven from San Diego to Fort Worth without any problems. It has been garaged ever since. Since then, the car has been worked on by a single mechanic, who is an early 911 specialist. This car is an all original with matching chassis engine and transmission. Some of the improvements include:- A totally redone engine using original Porsche parts with Mahle cylinders and pistons. I have put on about 5,000 miles since the engine was rebuilt. The speedometer has about 25,000 miles on it. Brand new stainless steel exhausts and heat exchanges. Original rims which were refurbed. Electronic fuel pump was added prior to my purchase, this helps with cold starts and priming the engine. The engine idles perfectly when cold. Weber Carbureters have been worked on and have no problem. Brand new 911S carpets were installed. The rest of the interior is original. The clock and the speedometer have been refurbed in California. New Koni Shocks, and the rear stabilizer was completely refurbed. This vehicle has never been raced to my knowledge. The car runs perfectly and had not damage history, and runs very stable on the road. Please note, that there is a small rust area at the back left lower corner of the rear window. The paintwork is original except for the front hood which was redone because of slight pitting on the paint. The car has a lovely original patina. Robert Redford’s car in the movie “Spy Game” reminds me of this car. If you are looking for and short wheel base 911S, look no further. You can take this car and use it as an everyday driver, or a vehicle you could turn into a showroom specimen. I have been driving Porsches for the past 40 years and have had lots of experience with Porsches. Please feel free to contact me if you further questions. This is for serious bidders only and payment is due by electronic wire transfer within 48 hours of auction ending. Seller makes no warranty and the car is being sold "as is". Seller also reserves the right to end the auction early. Call if you have any questions. David @ 817-366-8112 or Craig @ 817-368-7205 |

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Porsche tuners 9ff, SpeedArt going bankrupt
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Times are tough in Europe right now, and that unfortunately has reaped disastrous consequences for some of its smallest niche automakers. Gumpert, Wiesmann, Artega and Lola have all filed for bankruptcy this year, and it appears that tuners are not immune to the tough times, either.
Word coming in from across the pond suggests that 9ff and SpeedArt - two of the biggest names in Porsche tuning - have filed for bankruptcy as well. 9ff is best known for the GT9, a radical hypercar barely based on the 911, while SpeedArt was once of the foremost tuners of Porsches.
Fortunately there are still plenty of tuners ready to take a wrench to your Elfen, but the reported demise of these two makes the market a little bit smaller and - for Porsche enthusiasts - maybe the world a little bit lonelier, too.
Mark Webber treats Maria Sharapova to a Porsche 918 Spyder joyride
Tue, 29 Apr 2014We don't much like Mark Webber right now. Part of being a racing driver is dealing with promotional stuff. It's not hard to find a driver that can't stand all this nonsense, whether it be promoting a product, meeting investors or attending some obscure event. Even a driver of Webber's caliber - a former Formula One driver for Red Bull Racing and a member of Porsche's factory Le Mans team - has to serve his time at the promo events.
Somehow, though, we don't think the Aussie driver minds this particular promo detail. In the video below, Webber attends the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. He then takes tennis superstar Maria Sharapova out for a spin behind the wheel of the Porsche 918 Spyder. The level of jealousy at the Autoblog office is palpable.
Take a look below for the video. And as we're super jealous of Mr. Webber, hop into Comments and caption the above photo based on what you think he's saying to Maria. Bonus points if you can work "vegemite" into the caption.
