This is a very original, period correct 1969 Porsche 912. Bahama yellow exterior and black interior. I am the second owner of this car. The first owner had it since 1969. Everything on this car is original and period correct. This is a numbers matching car. I was told that there was one light re-spray at some point, but inside the doors were never painted, and presents its original paint, you can see in the photos. Paint is nice and shiny. Interior is in very good condition and seems to be original. Seats are in great condition with no wear. The headliner is original with no tears. The sunvisors are original and in great condition. All the gauges are working including the clock. The odometer reading is 56,900 miles and I was told that this is the actual miles and certainly the car feels that way. The Blaupunkt radio turns on, even the lights work however I can't seem to find a station, might need cleaning. The dash is also in very good condition considering it is original and 44 years old. Comes with brand new tires (all 5) and recently had an oil change. Carburetors were recently adjusted. Shifter bushings were recently replaced. Clutch is adjusted and the engine gearbox is recently serviced. The engine is strong and pulls great. The car comes with Weber carburetors on it. I also have the old original Solex's in a box and comes with the car. The engine have few damp spots and slightly leaking, but not too bad, almost all of these cars leak. It is definitely not a show car but an honest, original, clean driver with all original parts still on the car. The only rust I noticed on this car is in the smuggler box, picture included. It is a very small area and can be easily fixed. I would encourage a PPI to buy with confidence.

Porsche 911 Targa Turbo for Geneva debunked, 919 Hybrid and 911 RSR racers coming instead
Fri, 28 Feb 2014Porsche has proven adept at making sure there is a version of its venerable 911 for practically any wealthy driver's desires. If you just want a great all-rounder then buy a standard 911; open-air driving, then the Cabriolet is for you, and if you need a compromise between them, there is even the new 911 Targa.
Gossip earlier this week surfaced on various websites that at next week's Geneva Motor Show, Porsche had designs on introducing an even higher-performance Targa variant, a Targa Turbo. The rumored mashup would combine the wide body from the 911 Turbo with the super-complicated power roof from the Targa (see right). Assuming no changes in power, that would mean 520 horsepower or even 560 hp in a Targa Turbo S model. Unfortunately, we're hearing that this tasty bit of scuttlebutt is incorrect. Autoblog asked Nick Twork, Porsche North America Product Communications Manager, about the rumor, and his response couldn't have been clearer: "Totally false."
Twork did elaborate that company will be "debuting the Porsche 919 Hybrid, our new LMP1 race car" at the Swiss show, and Stuttgart has also announced this morning that will show its 911 RSR racecar, too - either of which we reckon is a lot more exciting than another Targa variant.
Porsche continues facelift spree with 911 Turbo
Fri, 24 Jan 2014If there's ever been automotive case for constant evolution, it is the Porsche 911. It seems like every time a new version of the rear-engined sports car debuts, Porsche is already hard at work on a facelifted version of it that changes some subtle, barely noticeable aspect.
Such is the case with this round of images of a facelifted 911 Turbo, which was seen undergoing winter testing alongside the facelifted, hardtop-version of the 911 Cabriolet we showed you yesterday. The new, 991-based 911 Turbo was just unveiled in May of 2013.
Like the Cabrio from yesterday, both the Turbo and naturally aspirated models shown here feature additional slats at the rear of the car, right behind the rear wheels. These slats on the standard model lend credence to what we learned yesterday - that even the regular 911 models could end up getting turbocharged mills.
Can a Corvette really be compared to a 911 with options costing more than the Chevy?
Wed, 29 Jan 2014In this latest video from Drive, Chris Harris asks straight away, "Can you still compare a base Corvette to a Porsche Carerra?" That's an particularly interesting question in this film, as the 911 in question is a 400-horsepower Carrera S model that's been fitted with $60,000 in options. Base price of a Corvette Stingray? $51,995. Harris' tester features an automatic and some other goodies that push it right up to that $60,000 range. So yes, the options on the Porsche cost as much as this entire 460-hp Chevrolet.
Harris stresses that this isn't a full review, but he does exercise both cars in a more composed manner before reverting to his traditionally exuberant driving style. The impressions are, as always, spot on, with Harris favoring the pointy nature and V8 power of the Stingray, while enjoying the gearbox (Porsche's exceptional PDK transmission) and just about everything else on the 911.
