Offered here is a rare-colored Porsche 914 1.8 for sale. This 1974 Porsche 914 1.8 2-Door sports car features 47,610 original miles and is extremely nice all around. The car has been repainted its stamped and original L65K Ravenna Green, which is very rare in Porsche circles. The black interior is original and is in excellent shape as well as the rust-free undercarriage. This 914 has been stored for the past 14 years but still runs and drives exceptionally well. The dash pad, wheels, and trim rings are all original but the AM/FM stereo has been replaced. Every other surface is original and remains in great condition, and with the removable Targa top option and 5-speed transmission, this car is fun to drive. It has plenty of pep with a mid-engine mounted 1.8L 4-Cylinder engine. The hood and trunk offer ample storage space, including storage for the removable top. The car comes with a clean title, full spare/jack, extra floor mats, two keys, car cover, touch-up paint, and some extra parts. All stickers and tags are accounted for and in their proper place. For a low mileage, rare color vintage Porsche, this is a great deal. This car will surely appreciate over time -- a great investment opportunity.

Chevy Corvette Stingray defeating rivals where it matters most
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Everything is coming up roses for the award-winning Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, as new data from the North American Dealers Association dissected by GM Authority reveals that America's sports car is handily outselling two of its more expensive rivals.
Through June of 2014, the NADA notes that the Corvette has rung up 17,744 sales, handily besting the Porsche 911 and positively spanking the SRT Viper. Of course, you're sitting there thinking, "Corvette is outselling the much more expensive Porsche and Viper. Sky blue, water wet." But what's impressive here is just how thoroughly the Chevrolet is beating its two rivals, with this data serving as a testament to just how popular the seventh-generation sports car has become.
So far this year, Porsche has managed to move 5,169 911s, according to NADA. Considering that the base model starts at nearly $15,000 more than the most heavily optioned Stingray, and that Porsche owners have a vast, expensive options catalogue to select from, Stuttgart's sales are still plenty impressive in relation to the nearly 18,000 Corvettes sold.
Are you the next Porsche 911 GT3 RS or GT2?
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Porsche typically keeps to a suitably fast schedule when it comes to rolling out increasingly hard-core performance versions of the 911. After the 997 Carrera debuted in 2004, the GT3 version followed in 2006, and by the end of the 2007, Porsche had rolled out both the GT3 RS and GT2 versions. Then the facelifted 997.5 came out in 2008 and it was back to the start: the GT3 came in 2009, the GT3 RS and GT2 RS in 2010, and the GT3 RS 4.0 in 2011. But things have slowed down some with the latest 991 generation.
The new Carrera came in 2011 and the GT3 followed in 2012. By recent history's example, we should have at least two more hardcore models by now, but we don't. Maybe the engineers in Zuffenhausen have had their hands full fixing the spontaneous-combustion issues with the existing GT3, or maybe their attentions have been focused elsewhere altogether. But if these spy shots are anything to go by, it seems like they're back on the job.
Now we don't know if this prototype foreshadows a new GT3 RS or a GT2, but it sure looks more hard-core than the existing GT3 that many purists have derided as too soft, what with its automatic transmission and four-wheel steering.
Race Recap: 2013 Petit Le Mans draws curtain on the ALMS [spoilers]
Mon, 21 Oct 2013The 16th Petit Le Mans Powered By Mazda, in the final year of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón, was run on Saturday. Even though many of this year's championships had already been decided, the last ALMS race ever would be a 10-hour, 1,000-mile slog around Road Atlanta to get names in the record books and decide a few series trophies.
