This beautiful little vehicle was modified by previous owner for maximum speed. The heat exchanger was removed for weight and power savings, a performance cam was added, along with a counterbalanced crankshaft, aluminum rods, performance pistons, solid lifters, and dual 40 Weber carbs. The battery tray has been removed and battery relocated to rear trunk for better weight distribution and room in the engine bay. Engine bay, rear and front trunk storage areas and undercarriage have been coated with a protective spray (similar to truck bed liner material.)
We have modified the exhaust system by adding stock heat exchangers with a tubular header with muffler attached. The cabin itself is not heated. The interior is in good condition, and the classic sports steering wheel has a great feel. Carpets are new, windshield is new and all glass is tinted. Electronic ignition is new. Dash has one or two minor cracks and a CD player has bee added. All electronics function fine. Front brakes are upgraded BMW 320i and rear brakes have been rebuilt (new standard rotors and pads all around) Transmission is smooth and all linkage bushings have been replaced. Car came with two vintage 911 seats which we replaced with new Corbeau bucket sports seats for a better fit. The 911s are included in the sale. One seat has a slight tear in the seat. I have found NO RUST here. |

World Car of the Year finalists announced
Fri, 07 Mar 2014To say the 2014 Geneva Motor Show was packed full of news is an understatement as big as the show's home at the Palexpo convention center. Despite everything that we were able to cover during this year's show, there's still more coming out of Switzerland, including the announcement of the finalists for the 2014 World Car of the Year Awards.
We reported on the original list of finalists over three weeks ago, and now, that initial list has been pared down to three finalists for each of the five awards. The finalists were announced at a press conference by frequent Autoblog contributor and co-chair of the awards, Matt Davis (above).
The finalists for the overall title of 2014 World Car of the Year are the Audi A3, the BMW 4 Series and the Mazda3. The World Luxury Car of the Year will be either the Bentley Flying Spur, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, while the Performance Car of the Year will be awarded to the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Ferrari 458 Speciale or the Porsche 911 GT3 (which, um, yeah...).

Even though many of this year's championships had already been decided, the last ALMS race ever would be a 10-hour, 1,000-mile slog around Road Atlanta to get names in the record books and decide a few series trophies.

Porsche creates 'symphony' with seven generations of 911
Wed, 02 Oct 2013At Porsche, things are getting a bit wild on the 50th anniversary year of the 911. To celebrate it (again) in yet another inventive way, the automaker has called on the musical talents of seven generations of the rear-engine sports car (please suspend your disbelief, at least for the length of the video, and assume that generation two started in 1974) to perform a song that has eight notes. We're wondering which 911 is pulling double duty...
But before the Porsches are lined up for the short recital, the drivers let loose and drift them inside a hangar. Watch the video below, and tell us in comments which was more impressive: the song or the drifting.
