1983 Porsche 928 S 5 speed. Car runs strong and shifts smoothly through all gears. Clutch is tight. Car rides true. Tires are Kumho Ecsta 225/50ZR SPT with 1500 miles on them. Car needs attention with cosmetics and electrics. Body is in good shape, a few spots that need attention are pictured. Please email me with any questions. Below is list of all new parts as well as what is known to NOT be working. New parts in last 500 miles: Cap, rotor, wires , plugs. Front/Rear shocks Front Upper Control Arms Front Lower Balls Joints Front Tie Rod Assembly (both) Items which are not working/need attention/repair: Emergency brake (needs new pads) Locking system functions properly from inside the car...both doors lock and unlock with turning of knob/dial. However, the key does not turn the door lock (from the outside) The hatch does not lock down properly so if the doors are locked by accident you can just pop the hatch and unlock the doors. Sunroof (motor is good, think it needs transmission) AC/Heat do not function. Blower works on one setting. Power Mirrors. Gauges: Fuel, engine temp, oil pressure. Fog lights, Headlight washers, Horn. I have the spare but it has a leak.

Leno, Seinfeld and a Porsche 356/2 featured in latest CICGC
Sun, 19 Jan 2014In the latest kaffeeklatsch known as Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld pulls Jay Leno out of his garage for a trip to Jones Coffee in Pasadena, CA. The NBC funnyman we've lately seen driving two guest Porsches in his eponymous garage this time takes the passenger seat in a 1949 Porsche 356/2, one of early all-aluminum, hand-built coupes - still in 100-percent original condition - built in Gmund, Austria and nicknamed "Gmunds."
The comedy veterans have known one another for 35 years, so the episode is rich with stories of The Good Old Days. Leno says it is also the first time he's ever had a cup of coffee, and for obvious comedic reasons they start with the civet-stained beans made famous in The Bucket List. Audi welcomes Porsche back to Le Mans like any sibling would

Yes, Audi has taken its R18 E-Tron Quattro back onto public roads, wowing schoolboys and scaring farmers (who appear to be riding classic Porsche tractors), as it travels from Ingolstadt to Zuffenhausen, just to taunt its corporate frenemy.

Porsche announces works team for United Sportscar Championship
Tue, 24 Sep 2013Porsche is undoubtedly the most successful manufacturer in sportscar racing, and it's only upping its game. The German marque is launching its new LMP1 racer for Le Mans in pursuit of overall victory once again, and now that sportscar racing in North America is coming together under one banner in the United Sportscar Championship, Porsche has announced it is entering the fray with a works team here as well.
The new Porsche North America racing team will field two cars in the entire inaugural season of the Tudor United Sportscar Championship that's been formed out of the former Grand-Am and American Le Mans Series. The team will be based out of the Porsche Motorsport North America facility in Santa Ana, California, and will partner with three-time ALMS LMPC winners Core Autosport in getting a pair of the latest 911 RSR racecars to the front of the GT Le Mans class.
Drivers have yet to be announced, but are projected to be drawn out of Porsche's factory driver program, which includes such talents as Patrick Long, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani. Keep reading below for the official announcement.
