This auction is for one 1990 Porsche 944 Cabriolet. This convertible, a first for the 944 line was built for Porsche by ASC- America Sunroof Company in Weinsberg Germany. One of only 1824 produced for the US market, this 944 is destined to be a collectible.
This 944 Cabrio which has only 82,000 original miles has had many new parts and improvements done to it. The list of new parts include: a new top, brakes, rotors, shocks, exhaust, starter, altenator, K&N cold air intake, full tune up. The TIMING BELT and all front seals are BRAND NEW THIS YEAR with less than 5000 miles.
A few things to point out are, the new top now works manually. It could be made to work automaticly again with new cables, but it's small size makes it a breeze to put up and down with one hand. Also, the front suffered some front end damage which throws the bumper out of allignment slightly. This has no affect on drivability but the poor repair could be taken care of. See photos.
New door panels are included with the sale.

Porsche digitally dissects its 918 Spyder for your viewing pleasure
Wed, 02 Oct 2013At this point, you'd think we'd know all there is to know about the 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder - except what it's like to drive - but Porsche has released a new video giving us a more in-depth look at its new plug-in hypercar all the same. The animated video gives us numerous cutaway looks at the 918 Spyder while giving a visual demonstration of the car's four hybrid driving modes.
Though nowhere near as exciting as watching the 918 blast around the Nürburgring in record time, this new video is nonetheless both interesting and informative. Scroll down to watch the video yourself, and be sure to check out our live gallery of the production version of the car along with a stock gallery.
Paul Walker's accident due to 'speed, and speed alone'
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Following an investigation into the crash that killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker and driver Roger Rodas, an unnamed law enforcement source told the Associated Press that there were no signs of mechanical failure on the Porsche Carrera GT that was destroyed in the accident.
The report from The Huffington Post claims the officer in question blamed "speed, and speed alone" in the fatal accident. The same report ruled out the presence of debris in the road, which may have caused Rodas to lose control of the V10-powered super car.
Engineers from Porsche are traveling to California to investigate the accident with the help of the Carrera GT's on-board data recorder. Until then, investigators won't speculate on the car's speed at the time of the wreck.
