This 1994 Porsche 968 Cabriolet is an incredible vehicle that boasts great performance and is exceptionally clean. It pains me to sell this car, but having three Porsche's is just too much with a new baby. The car has never been in any, even minor, accident, as to my knowledge. I purchased this car in 2007 with around 93k miles and have serviced the car as if I was going to keep it forever (that was the plan anyway). I have recently had a new clutch (disc, plate, and throwout bearing) put in at 118k miles, replaced all belts (including the timing belt) at 111k miles, put new tires on, new radiator, new a/c compressor, professionally installed Harmon/Kardon Traffic Pro navigation with an Alpine 5-channel amp with 6.5" Boston acoustic Pro 60 Se component speakers, rear M030 sway bar, 18" Porsche Turbo Twist wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225/40/18s on the front and 255/35/18s on the rear. When I purchased the car it was triple black and I swapped out the front seats for the updated tan heated seats you see in the photos (I do not have the originals) which have some moderate wear. I also updated the wheels to the turbo twists from the 17" chrome that came on the car (I do not have these either). The cabrio top operates electronically and has an option to switch to manual if you prefer. The top is in decent shape, but the rear window is cracked (see photo). The paint is in great shape with a few rock chips, but minimal for a car with 120k miles. There is a small hot spot (where the clear coat has thinned) on the right front fender that can be seen if you look closely, but this is (in my opinion) a small infraction to the cars great paint overall. I have been a Porsche Club member for over 17 years and have cared for this car well. Inspections are welcome. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and delivery arrangements and costs.

Porsche's former CEO Wiedeking to stand trial over VW-share manipulation
Wed, 27 Aug 2014Former Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking (left in the above photo) could potentially be facing some time in the slammer after all. The last we had heard, he and former Chief Financial Officer Holger Haerter (right) had avoided a trial in April due to a lack of evidence. However, an appeals court in Stuttgart has looked at the case again and overruled the earlier decision, finding that the executives should be tried for share manipulation during Porsche's failed attempt to take over Volkswagen in 2008, Bloomberg reports.
The judges in the appeal "list numerous indications that could suggest that there was a hidden decision to increase the stake as they could suggest the opposite evaluation by the lower court," said Stefan Schueler, a spokesperson for the court, in a statement cited by Bloomberg. Wiedeking and Haerter put out their own releases saying that there was no merit to the charges.
The prosecutors allege that Wiedeking and Haerter had a plan to buy up VW stock options in 2008 to take the automotive giant over but hid it from investors. The whole thing was a massive failure and eventually allowed VW the chance to acquire Porsche and forced the two execs to step down. In addition to the criminal investigation, hedge funds have attempted to sue the company multiple times in civil court for the same reason, but they have repeatedly failed.
Porsche Cayenne spied unconstrained by camouflage
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Meet the facelifted Porsche Cayenne. Our eagle-eyed spy shooters captured this example of Porsche's freshened SUV virtually devoid of camo, giving us our clearest look yet at what the eventual mid-cycle work will do to the strong-selling Cayenne.
The overall changes do, indeed, look minor, with a reprofiled intake being the most obvious item. The headlights are still covered, so we don't know what kind of jeweling has been done, but the shape does appear identical to the current model. Overall, the changes appear totally in line with a mid-cycle refresh.
As we explained previously, a plug-in Cayenne is on the way. It will join a crop of engines that is likely to be similar to what's on offer today, with naturally aspirated, turbocharged, hybrid and diesel variants released over time.
Leno steals Porsche 918 from The Quail for latest Garage episode
Sat, 31 Aug 2013Just because he's a famous celebrity doesn't mean Jay Leno got to take it easy at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance earlier this month. Having already spent some time with the gorgeous Cadillac Elmiraj Concept and Ed Welburn for a recent episode of Jay Leno's Garage, the late night talk show host also got to put a few miles on a prototype version of the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Like a usual episode of JLG, Leno first goes over the details of the car with Frank Walliser, head of the 918 Spyder's development, before taking it out for spin. Check out the full episode, which is posted below, to hear what Walliser has to say about the car. More importantly, though, crank up your computer's volume and let the car's high-revving engine and amazing exhaust note do plenty of talking for itself.
