This car is an honest 968 Ipurchased approx. 2 years ago in order to get into DE events, however that nevermaterialized. Lots of maintenance completed. This is a nice looking car but isnot a show car. This is not a 968CS. It is just badged that way. Pros This caris runs well, it is easily the quickest NA 944, 968 I have driven. 82k milesoriginal window sticker New tires-Hankook RS3 tires (200 treadwear) New frontsway bar bushings (polyurethane) with front sway bar stiffeners New waterpump, timing belt, and rollers Rebuilt power steering pump Clean inside and out BreyKrause Harness Bar with D/S harness Stainless braided clutch hose from clutchmaster to new clutch slave cylinder. New Vario cam nylon guides with new chainand a good used intake camshaft. Previous cam had broken teeth which is a realcommon problem on these vehicles. (it is well documented) Cons Sunroof looksfaded on the rear edge from polishing small rip in driver side seat bottom.needs p/s rear hatch molding. Hatch starting to Delaminate and needs adjustmentto open properly needs front batwing small oil leak.- leaves a few drops on thegarage floor after a drive. Paint looks really good when cleaned up but this isnot a show car. Previous buyer backed out because of paint concerns. Note: Ifthis car had near perfect paint with 82k this would be a 13-15k dollar car. Please be serious when you bid on this car. The D/S front fender and D/S frontdoor have made light contact from a possible hyperextension at some point in thecars life. No major damage. Repairs were made but they were not absolutelyperfect.

2015 Porsche Cayenne S
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Oh, Porsche.
Just as the dust settles over the 911 GT3's no manual gearbox kerfuffle, the Germans have gone and yanked the yummy naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8 from the Cayenne S and replaced it with a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6. Is nothing sacred in Porscheland?
Perhaps not... but that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, Porsche famously once said they'd never build a diesel, but when they did, it was actually rather stellar.
Porsche acquires Kyalami race track at auction
Mon, 28 Jul 2014With more victories under its belt than any other manufacturer, you could say, in a figurative sense at least, that Porsche owns countless numbers of race tracks around the world. But here we're not talking about figuratively owning a track - we're talking about literally buying one. And Porsche has just bought Kyalami.
Kylamai, for those unfamiliar, is a grand prix circuit near Johannesburg in South Africa. Between 1967 and 1985, and again in '92 and '93, it was home to the South African Grand Prix, and has since hosted a variety of local and lower-level international races, but apparently fell on hard times. As a result, the track's owners - listed as Universal Property Professionals - put it up for auction. Bidders had to deposit four million Rand (about $380k) to participate, but after just 50 seconds, the auction was over.
The winning bid was placed - via telephone from the local press launch for the Macan - by Porsche South Africa CEO Toby Venter, who bid a reported 205 million rand (about $19.5 million) to take over the complex. The German automaker's South African division reportedly intends to keep the track open for racing, but could also be expected to use the facility for testing, customer track days and such moving forward.
Porsche forum claims eco-friendly 911 Blu coming to Frankfurt
Thu, 01 Aug 2013The fiftieth anniversary of the Porsche 911 has been a nearly year-long affair, with unique tributes and even a special anniversary edition with plenty of retro throwbacks. The party is expected to continue through the end of 2013, and if one 911 enthusiast forum is right, we'll see yet another special edition model near the anniversary of the original car's September 1963 debut, when it arrives at next month's Frankfurt Auto Show.
It's called the 911 Blu, and where the 911 50 Years Edition was more expensive than a 911 Carrera S hardtop, the Blu would be an entry level special edition. That's right, a limited run car that actually slots in at the very bottom of the 911 range. According to Porsche forum 911UK.com, the new car would be priced at 74,600 euros ($98,718 at today's rates) or 64,750 pounds. That undercuts the price of a base 911 in Germany by nearly 16,000 euros and in the UK by nearly 8700 pounds (although to be fair, it's roughly identical to the price of a base 911 C2S in the US).
This 911 will reportedly feature a detuned flat-six with 300 horsepower and 211 pound-feet of torque.
