THIS PORSCHES TITLE SAYS PRIOR FLOOD--NO RESERVE when i picked it up --got it home there was no signs of any water damage--carpets were dry--no water in oil--exhaust--any of the many storage compartments--at all---turned key and it started right up--have changed oil and filter--checked all other fluids--i have put over 4,000 miles on it with NO problems---the only problem it has is with the bose sound system--like a lot these units---but i have found a fix--and it works--[will tell buyer about this because im sure porsche would like to know]it has small scrates on front bumper cover---small crack in paint on rear dr quarter--all new tires--recent brakes all around--every works as it should--if you want to own a nice porsche at half of what its worth this is it--im still drivein it daily so miles may increase some--buyer to pay all transportation cost--is for sale locally CHANGED BATTERY IN REAR UNDER SUB WOFFER-NO PAY-PAL they charge to much

Porsche Museum highlights history of the 911 RSR
Sat, 12 Jan 2013Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.
Not one to downplay its racing successes, Porsche has released an informative video detailing the 911 RSR's impressive heritage. The 1973 RSR model owned by the Porsche Museum is detailed beautifully on video, and we have to say it looks absolutely stunning in its vintage Martini Racing livery.

Porsche planning new 911 Speedster as 550 tribute
Tue, 12 Nov 2013Some look at the emergence of a new Porsche 911 and see a car. But to Porsche engineers, it might as well be a reset button. Because every time a new 911 comes out, it sets off a tidal wave of new variants to follow, including convertibles, turbos, targas, GT3s... the works.
The next down the pipeline, though, could be one of the most desirable. That, according to German publication Auto Bild, will be a new 911 Speedster. When it arrives early in 2015, the special roadster will reportedly be limited to just 550 examples in tribute to the original 550 Spyder.
It'll reportedly have hidden door handles, a chopped-down windshield and a fabric top to be used only in case of emergency, manually disappearing below a carbon-fiber cowling. All of which makes it sounds as much like a bigger version of the Boxster Spyder as a successor to the last 911 Speedster (pictured above), and that's no bad thing at all.
