2006 Porsche Cayenne on 2040-cars
Lytle, Texas, United States
I bought my wife new car for Christmas , so Cayenne Turbo for sale. Excellentcar, beautiful interior and exterior. Solid motor, suspension , transmission -new rotors and brakes within the last three months. Been raining for a week sohaven't added pictures (stock photo for now) . If we get sunshine I'lladd pix or for serious bidder I'll take pix rain or shine. Motor Trend says; Is it fast? Is Wiedeking hard to spell? The vehicle's quickness and speed(we recorded 0 to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds and a quarter-mile pass in 13.5 seconds)are stunning, but here numbers fail us; it's not the velocity per se butthe giddy sensation of enormous mass being manhandled by oceanic force, like atugboat thrown on the beach by a tsunami. The Cayenne reactor is a 4.5-liter V-8 with dry-sump and other fancy plumbing to keep it oilyand cool in extreme off-roading. Thanks to its VarioCam intake-valve timing, themotor produces peak torque of 457 pound-feet between 2250 and 4750 rpm and anice fat 450 horsepower at 6000 rpm. The soundtrack to all of this is afuturistic warbling of metallic timbre and menacing vibrato that makes TheMatrix soundtrack seem like folk music. Prefer to transfer in person, but willship if needed. HOWEVER , I have recently dealt with a thief helped by Paypal ,soooooo Absolutely NO PayPal - all funds must be fully cleared or escrowedbefore any shipping or title transfer. Sorry , just the world we live in today. It's a beautiful car; Elegant and fun to drive. Thanks for looking.

Volkswagen Group previews its wares on eve of Geneva show
Mon, 05 Mar 2012The Volkswagen Group is comprised of 11 brands producing 240 vehicles across 49 factories throughout the world. So the best way to show off the range of the VW family is to cram a few thousand journalists and VIPs into a massive makeshift stand to outline the Group's goals, what's in the pipeline and what you'll be able to buy later this year.
To that end, VW pulled out all the stops on the eve of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, bringing along 10 vehicles from across the range. We'll be delving into the details of each over the next two days of show coverage, but before that happens, you can read all about what we saw tonight from the cheap seats after the break.
Porsche patent sketches show removable headrest wind deflector
Mon, 21 Oct 2013While driving around in a convertible might seem glamorous, ask anyone with long hair and they'll likely tell you how it really is: the wind buffets, your hair goes everywhere and it's anything but glamorous. That's why you see so many convertibles driving with their tops up, their windows up or wind deflectors in place. But Porsche is apparently preparing to kick it up to the next level.
These patent drawings have leaked out, demonstrating what appears to be some new kind of wind-deflecting device being developed by Porsche. The mechanism is apparently fitted to the headrest itself and designed to keep the wind buffeting specifically around the head down to a minimum while allowing the car's occupants to enjoy the top-down driving experience.
No word on when it might hit the market, but we won't be surprised to see this kind of device appear on a future version of the Boxster or 911 Cabriolet. But nowhere else: despite the apparent leak, the patent drawings suggest that Porsche will be keeping this technology proprietary. Whether sister brands like Volkswagen, Bentley or Lamborghini will get their hands on it remains to be seen.
Porsche Cayman GT4 speeds back into view
Tue, 18 Nov 2014We're all familiar with the succession of numbers that follow the letters GT on a hard-core Porsche 911: the GT1 that was Stuttgart's Le Mans contender in the late 90s, the GT2 that packs turbochargers but without the Turbo's all-wheel drive and excess weight, and the naturally aspirated GT3 that's the enthusiast's choice. But a GT4? That's something new, and exactly what Porsche has in store.
Spied testing in Germany once again is the upcoming GT4 version of the Porsche Cayman, set to supersede the existing GTS and take the place of the previous Cayman R at the top of Porsche's junior sports car range. This latest batch of spy shots doesn't show us much more than the last crop, but gives us a much clearer view at what promises to be the most hardcore Cayman to date.
As you can see, the Cayman GT4 packs a much more aggressive aero kit and rolling stock than any version we've seen to date. It's got a lip spoiler, big air dam and GT3-style vent in front of the hood, deep air scoops along the flanks, a set of spindly alloys packing oversized brakes, a diffuser with twin central exhaust tips around back and a rear wing that's likely to be replaced with a sleeker unit before the GT4 reaches production.
