How do you define meticulous, well maintained, never saw the sunlight except whilst driving? Here is a good
example.
AutoProcure Atlanta is proud to present a pristine 2014 Porsche Panamera in Night Blue Metallic.
A brief review from Car & Driver when this Panamera was first released:
Originally introduced for the 2010 model year, the 2014 Panamera receives a mid-cycle freshening, which is thorough
enough that Porsche has decided to dub the car Panamera II. (We will refrain from using this naming scheme,
however.) If you thought the Ford F-150 came in every nuance and flavor under the sun, the 2014 Panamera lineup has
likewise ballooned—to nine models available in two wheelbases and powered by five different engines. There are
some appearance updates—a more-teardropesque shape to the headlamps, bigger nostrils in the front fascia, a
flatter liftgate window, lower mounting for the rear license plate, and revised taillamps—but you’d have to be
a Panamerologist to notice without the previous-year car alongside for reference.
Likewise, the well-tailored cabin carries forward the upscale feel. It’s surprisingly roomy, with ample leg- and
headroom in all four seating positions, even in the standard-wheelbase version. Your six-foot-two author had no
trouble fitting in the back when the driver’s seat was set to his preferences. But the big news for 2014 is the
addition of two stretched Executive models. These add another 5.9 inches of wheelbase—all of which is dedicated
to the rear seats, which move fore-and-aft and recline, with optional fold-down picnic tables.
My favorite comment on the Porsche from this review is as follows:
“In the realm of premium sports cars, Porsche takes a back seat to no one.”
First impressions by AutoProcure Atlanta:
This Porsche has been well cared for. The transmission shifts smoothly, and the exhaust breathes deeply. The famous
notes of the ever famous 911 is present.
The odometer has 27001 miles which are all highway miles. This Porsche is currently under factory warranty and
additional extended warranty can be purchased through Porsche or a third party for an additional fee. Currently the
car is covered under warranty till 2018 or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The perforated tan leather interior is in showroom condition. No sign of wear as the car is still very new. The
leather was recently conditioned and moisturized about 500 miles ago.
Open Disclosure Policy:
· There is some minor curb rash on the front passenger’s side wheel Photos will evidence this.
· The rear bumper has a minor scuff which the owner will have buffed out before sale.
This is truly a sensational car and currently on sale below market as the current owner wants to change to a larger
family vehicle with off-road capabilities.

Watch the incredibly complicated operation of Porsche's new targa roof

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Despite Porsche having claimed the name, targa tops are nothing new. In addition to the semi-roofless version of the 911, plenty of cars in the past have used removable roof panels - the new Corvette Stingray has one (as have prior generations), and this type of open-air experience has been available on past vehicles like the Pontiac Solstice Coupe and Honda Civic del Sol.
But when Porsche took the top off its brand new 911 Targa here at the Detroit Auto Show, it was indeed cause for pause. Simply put, this is one of the most complicated and intricate electronic roof panel removal techniques we've ever seen, save perhaps, for the setup found on the Japanese-market Civic del Sol from the 1990s.
We won't spoil the video for you, but basically, rather than just the roof panel coming off, the entire rear glass area lifts away the body in order for the small section over the passenger compartment to slide back. This has to be incredibly expensive to repair once it inevitably breaks. And we highly doubt you'll be able to operate this mechanism at any speed.

2014 Porsche Cayman promo video hits the web

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

Don't know how we missed this, but you don't have to play around with the 2014 Porsche Cayman configurator to see the new coupe in action; Porsche has given us more than two beautiful minutes of Cayman footage to enjoy.
The partners in the on-screen tango are the 275-horsepower base Cayman and the 325-hp Cayman S. If you like to keep track of such things, the former starts at $52,600, the latter at $63,800, plus $950 destination for each. Watching a video like the one below, however, is free.

Infiniti cribs new US boss from Porsche

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Just weeks before he was supposed to become CEO of Porsche Cars Australia, Infiniti has apparently offered Porsche COO and Executive Vice President Michael Bartsch a deal he couldn't refuse. Thus, Bartsch has join the company as Vice President of Infiniti Americas, the luxury marque's top North American post. Bartsch replaces Ben Poore, who has been with the automaker since 2008, having led both a 22-percent sales surge in 2012 and the brand's current sales slough, Automotive News reports.
Bartsch, Porsche's No. 2 US executive, has held the COO and Executive Vice President positions at Porsche since 2005 and was scheduled to become CEO of Porsche's Oz division on September 1. Infiniti has experienced a number of recent personnel changes in the past week: it named Vincent Gillet, formerly an executive for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, to lead its marketing efforts worldwide and Simon Cox, a former designer for automakers including Ford and Peugeot, to head a new design studio in London.
Poore reportedly will pursue other interests outside of the auto industry. Read more about the personnel change in the press release below.
