Dodge Ram 2500 Slt Crew Cab With Cummins 5.9 Diesel on 2040-cars
San Marcos, Texas, United States
Truck has a few dings and scratches on the exterior as would be expected on a 2005 vehicle. Upholstery has a small tear about 1/2" long. The lumbar support is not working. Paint and chrome is in excellent condition other than what has been described previous. This truck runs and drives like the day I bought it. It has been maintained according to factory recommendations. Always garaged and pampered. This is a Texas truck with no rust that I am aware of.. Has many options such as the Cummins 5.9 Turbo Diesel, spray in bed liner by Linex, pillar mounted gauges to monitor transmission and exhaust temperature and turbo boost pressure, power seat, power windows, cruise control, hitch and both bumper and bed outlets for trailer plugs, towing package, kyeless entry and too many other options to list. I believe if you take the vin number and go to the Chysler website you can pull it up. 4

Ram may build more trucks with sports team tie-ins
Thu, 04 Apr 2013After a rather successful foray with a Red Wings edition of the Ram 1500 last year - some 3,000 units sold - the truck brand is both re-upping its relationship with Detroit's hockey powerhouse and considering expansion into other sport franchises.
Ram announced last month that it would carry on its partnership with the Red Wings throughout the 2012-13 NHL season. The company will not offer a special edition version of the 2013 Ram, due in part to the strike-shortened NHL season. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Ram boss Fred Diaz called the Red Wings partnership an experiment that "worked out so incredibly well, we're looking at the possibility of doing other things with other sports."
Diaz doesn't see Ram doing deals with entire leagues, but does think that other teams and cities, with a similar "rabid fan base" could make sense for co-branding. "We'll pick our spots and our moments, " said Diaz, "and if we feel like we have a good opportunity, we'll do it."
Did Ram outsell Chevy Silverado for first time in history last month?
Wed, 02 Apr 2014Recently released automotive March sales figures point to a major shakeup in the pickup world. Last month, Ram's trucks overtook the Chevrolet Silverado to become the second-best selling vehicle in the segment for the first time ever.
The Ram pickups outsold the Silverado by 285 units in March. Chrysler shifted 42,532 trucks for the month compared to 42,247 for the Chevrolet fullsize. According the Allpar, this is the first time either Dodge or Ram's pickups have outsold Chevy in a month, and the Bowtie has held down the second place spot in the pickup market since 1978 when Ford took over the top spot. The F-Series remains the market's king, with 70,940 sales in March and 173,358 sold since January.
The results may only be a blip. From January through March, Ram has sold 96,906 trucks versus 107,757 for the Silverado. One month of sales figures isn't enough to call this a trend, but it's certainly an interesting data point.
Ram readying radical two-way split tailgate?
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Ram may be preparing a new sort of tailgate that could rethink the way we access the bed of the company's pickup trucks. Rather than the typical fold-down tailgate that we know so well, patent drawings show a tailgate that combines the functionality of a traditional fold-down design with a 50/50 split that can, individually, be opened like a barn-door design or dropped flat like a standard tailgate.
Now, Ram is far from the first to toy around with something like this. The most obvious example is the Honda Ridgeline, which features a single-piece tailgate that is double-hinged so that it can open traditionally or be swung out to the side. The big news here is the split and the fact that each half can be used independently of the other. Unlike the Honda, the individual halves would be operated via touchpads.
The implications of this new design aren't entirely clear right now. It seems possible that the rendering could just be for a concept vehicle, but production is certainly possible as well - Ram has shown a real willingness to innovate in the pickup segment as of late, with features like coil-spring rear suspensions, light-duty diesels and the Ram Box bedside storage system.
