2012 (Dodge) Ram 3500, Crew Cab, 4x4, short bed
This truck is best described in "as new" condition, it has extremely low 12,000 miles, the interior and exterior are nearly perfect. It has never been wrecked, it has never been smoked in, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it what-so-ever. There is a very small ding on the exterior just above the drivers door handle, and that is the only flaw. The truck has a leveling kit on the suspension, 35" Toyo MT tires that have less than a 1000 miles, and XD Series custom gloss black 20" wheels that also are new. I've added and painted to match the Bushwacker style fender flair extensions. Added the black step bars, and tinted the driver and passenger windows to match the factory tint on the rear windows. I added the spray-in bed-liner. This truck has power windows, door locks, cruise control, CD player, leather seats, heated front seats, 6 passenger front seat option, XM Satelite radio, and tow hitch. I just had it the oil changed, there is nothing needed on the truck at all.
It is under complete factory bumper to bumper warranty. You are buying a nearly new truck for thousands less than new cost.
I live in Twin Falls Idaho, there is an airport here, but it is small, the closest major airports are Boise Idaho, and Salt Lake City, Utah, and I'd be happy to meet any buyers there.
I also intend to list it locally for sale and reserve the right to end the auction early. I am listing the truck with no reserve, if there is anything I've left out please feel free to email me, I'd be happy to answer anything I can.

2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel gets 9,200-pound tow rating
Fri, 26 Jul 2013The current-generation Ram 1500 is entering its fifth year on the market, but Ram's half-ton truck is not showing its age whatsoever. While we continue to wait for the fuel economy figures for the all-new EcoDiesel V6, Ram has released towing figures for trucks equipped with this new engine, as well as models fitted with the upgraded gasoline-powered V6.
The EcoDiesel - a $2,850 option - will help the Ram compete with V8-powered trucks with its max towing capacity of 9,200 pounds, which is just 50 pounds shy of the 2013 Ram 1500 with the 5.7-liter V8. The true benefit here is that the diesel should return impressive fuel economy in the process, and even though official estimates have yet to be released, Chrysler has promised that it will achieve more than 25 miles per gallon on the highway.
But even with the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6, upgrades to the eight-speed automatic transmission have resulted in an increase in towing capacity, now up to 7,450 pounds. This number is expected to be best in class for base-engine trucks.
Ram readying radical two-way split tailgate?
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Ram may be preparing a new sort of tailgate that could rethink the way we access the bed of the company's pickup trucks. Rather than the typical fold-down tailgate that we know so well, patent drawings show a tailgate that combines the functionality of a traditional fold-down design with a 50/50 split that can, individually, be opened like a barn-door design or dropped flat like a standard tailgate.
Now, Ram is far from the first to toy around with something like this. The most obvious example is the Honda Ridgeline, which features a single-piece tailgate that is double-hinged so that it can open traditionally or be swung out to the side. The big news here is the split and the fact that each half can be used independently of the other. Unlike the Honda, the individual halves would be operated via touchpads.
The implications of this new design aren't entirely clear right now. It seems possible that the rendering could just be for a concept vehicle, but production is certainly possible as well - Ram has shown a real willingness to innovate in the pickup segment as of late, with features like coil-spring rear suspensions, light-duty diesels and the Ram Box bedside storage system.
2014 Ram ProMaster 2500
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Front-wheel drive is what sets the all-new Ram ProMaster full-size commercial van apart from its competition. In a segment still choked with thirsty, rear-wheel-drive, ladder frame, pickup truck-based cargo vans, the American automaker is introducing something entirely new - well, new to our domestic market, as Europeans will recognize Ram's fresh entrant as a made-for-USA Fiat Ducato.
While the big ProMaster doesn't have a traditional body-on-frame chassis, it isn't a pure unibody either. Consider it a hybrid of both, with a unibody cab up front and a reinforced high-strength steel subframe in the rear. The platform employs double A-arms and MacPherson struts on the front axle, while the rear uses a simple tubular beam axle. Tires are 225/75R16 at all four corners. The steering is hydraulic rack-and-pinion (allowing an impressive 36-foot turning radius) and there are disc brakes with two-piston calipers all around. It is a solid, if unsophisticated, setup.
This game-changing van, which has already arrived in showrooms with a starting price of $28,630, is propelled by either a gasoline-powered 3.6-liter Pentastar six-cylinder (280 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque) or a new turbocharged 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel (174 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque). Ram will offer a traditional six-speed automatic or a new six-speed automated single-clutch manual transmission that drops the hydraulic linkage to improve fuel economy - details are still emerging on this unique gearbox.
