Absolutely incredible truck. Ram 3500 Longhorn Edition 4x4 that performs like nothing I've ever driven. This truck is set up for towing and for comfort. With a Mini Maxx performance tuner from H&S Performance and a K & N Filter you have incredible power and get great MPG. I consistently get 21.5 mpg on the highway running 68 mph empty and get 14 mpg pulling my 24 foot enclosed trailer. The truck is beautiful with white exterior and chrome accents including a chrome grill guard and a matching white high rise topper and a rich saddle leather interior. The topper increases fuel mileage and increases cargo capacity. The topper has sliding side windows with screens. The bed has a spray in liner and a B & W Turnover Goose Neck Hitch. There is a hidden fold down step that folds back under the bumper with just a touch for easily getting in and out of the bed of the truck. The truck has heated leather front and rear seats and the front seats are cooled. Dual climate controls with vents in the back, pw sliding rear window, pw sunroof, navigation, Uconnect hands free voice command phone and Sirius, DVD, fixed matching color coded running boards, remote start, cold weather package and towing package to include trailer brakes, exhaust brake, tow haul, 110 plug in. This is my absolute dream truck and I am so thankful to have owned it. However, my family had a surprise in September and we can not fit everyone in the truck. I can deliver this truck anywhere in the lower 48 for cost of traveling expenses. The bank still holds the title so after full amount is received title will be transferred. I am also selling a 2012 matching Mirage enclosed car trailer that I can sell as a package deal or separate. I may consider some partial trades for a one ton or bigger full crew cab truck that has full bench seats front and back. You can contact me at 307-254-0461 or tomcaudle68@yahoo.com. I can send you more pictures of anything you want to see on the truck and the trailer.

2013 Ram 1500 Black Express is midnight in the garden of good and evil

Wed, 10 Jul 2013

Building off of the solid base of its 1500 pickup, Ram has announced a dark horse in its stable, the Ram Black Express, which comes equipped with a bevy of features to distinguish it from the regular Express model. (Just don't call it a black sheep.)
The Black Express sets itself apart visually from other 1500s with black 20-inch aluminum wheels, black bumpers, a black grille and front fascia with fog lamps, black Ram's head badges front and rear but no side badges for a clean, shaved look. The premium bi-function halogen projector headlamps with LED running lights, which aren't even an option on the regular Express, come standard on the Black edition.
The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is unchanged, making 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Paired with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission, the truck can tow 6,500 pounds. It's on sale starting this month, and the base Black Express can be had for $26,955, just $1,105 more than the base Express 4X2 regular cab. Feel free to peruse the press release below and check out the image gallery below.

Chrysler recalling 278,222 trucks and SUVs over bad rear axles

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall of 278,222 light trucks and sport utility vehicles here in the United States. The reason: bad rear axles. Specifically, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the rear axle pinion nut may lack a necessary adhesive patch, which could cause the nut to loosen. If this happens, the axle can lock up, which could cause all sorts of havoc on the road.
This is an expansion of the rear axle recall announced in October of last year, where 44,300 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota models were being called in. At that time, 12 accidents had been reported due to the faulty axle pinion nut.
Affected vehicles include Ram 1500 trucks from the 2009 to 2012 model years, Dodge Dakota models from the 2009 to 2011 model years, and both the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango SUV twins, both from the 2009 model year only.

Ram may build more trucks with sports team tie-ins

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

After a rather successful foray with a Red Wings edition of the Ram 1500 last year - some 3,000 units sold - the truck brand is both re-upping its relationship with Detroit's hockey powerhouse and considering expansion into other sport franchises.
Ram announced last month that it would carry on its partnership with the Red Wings throughout the 2012-13 NHL season. The company will not offer a special edition version of the 2013 Ram, due in part to the strike-shortened NHL season. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Ram boss Fred Diaz called the Red Wings partnership an experiment that "worked out so incredibly well, we're looking at the possibility of doing other things with other sports."
Diaz doesn't see Ram doing deals with entire leagues, but does think that other teams and cities, with a similar "rabid fan base" could make sense for co-branding. "We'll pick our spots and our moments, " said Diaz, "and if we feel like we have a good opportunity, we'll do it."
