Description:
This incredibly maintained Corniche Convertible has few rivals when it comes to originality and level of quality. The original lamb's wool overlay rugs are in wonderful condition, something rarely seen in a Roll-Royce of this vintage. The interior is adorned with its original deep lacquer finished Burl Walnut trim, and the Connolly hides are still soft and supple to the touch. Inside, the car is fitted with a fully lined and insulated Everflex roof for maximum comfort and a whisper quiet ride. This is truly one of the finest Corniche Convertibles to be found anywhere.

These are among the last of the truly hand-crafted Rolls-Royce models before being acquired by outsides interests and being turned into ordinary mass produced automobiles. The Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible is destined to one day grace future Concours d'Elegance events, but for the moment these exclusive machines appear to be highly undervalued, making their investment potential incredibly attractive. According to Knight Frank's Wealth Report, classic cars were the top-performing collectible asset with prices surging 23-percent in the 12-months ending in the third quarter of 2012.

History:
A convertible version of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow went into production in 1967 as the Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward Two-Door Drop Head Coup?©. The lengthy name was finally reduced to the Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible in 1971 when the car received minor update. The exterior design was created by John Polwhele Blatchley and the car was assembled alongside the Corniche Coup?© at Rolls-Royce?ˆ™s London H J Mulliner Park Ward facility. Production finally moved to Crewe in 1994 when the London works closed. The Corniche was sold in both Bentley and Rolls-Royce variants with the two being almost identical both technically and visually. Only a fraction of the cars produced however were sold with a Bentley badge. After 1988 the Bentley Corniche became known as the Continental.

Owners:
Perhaps the ultimate style statement of the 1970s and 80s the Corniche's stately presence was as popular with music and film stars as it was with the gentry.  The Car has had only two owners. The previous owner was a Vietnam Vetaran, that unfortunately got ingerd and could not sude it with such frequency, so in 2005 he decided to sell.
The Current owner, Me, well I bought it for my Father on he's 50th birthday, We have had the Rolls, in mint condition for day 1; always kept in an indoor garage, and up toned in the best mechanic of Miami, "Vintage Motor Works".

Why are we selling:
Well, I Moved out of the House, and my father is slowly moving back to his home county of Spain. We believe its time for some one else to enjoy the ride.

Rolls-Royce Wraith convertible planned, SUV rumors kicked to the curb

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Seeing as it adheres to the exotic car template we've known for years, it should surprise no one that the next model from Rolls-Royce will reportedly be a convertible version of the Wraith. When the coupe is on its way to dealers at the end of this year, company CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös has told Autocar that the British luxury marque start applying itself to the convertible.
At no time will they apply themselves to an SUV, though. Still sticking to its brand-value guns, Müller-Ötvös says that an SUV wouldn't have that trademark Rolls-Royce feeling and that such a vehicle hasn't even been discussed. Having heard this before from other brands, we can't help but suspect that one day in the future we'll hear the phrase, "Oh, but this is the Rolls-Royce of SUVs."
The investment in an SUV would also mean a huge investment in the factory at Goodwood, however, since Wraith production is expected to need three shifts and raise levels to near capacity. And forget about building anything from The Spirit of Ecstasy somewhere else, Müller-Ötvös saying, "Rolls-Royces are built in Goodwood."

Rolls-Royce Phantom to soldier on through 2020?

Tue, 12 Nov 2013

The more a car costs, the less frequently it's replaced - usually. Take, for example, the Bugatti Veyron. It's one of the most expensive cars on the market, and it's been there for eight years now. Eleven years passed in between the launch of the Ferrari Enzo and that of its successor LaFerrari. Now comes word that the Rolls-Royce Phantom could stick around essentially unchanged until the year 2020.
The report comes from LeftLaneNews, which cites Rolls-Royce communications chief Richard Carter in stating that the Phantom isn't going anywhere fast - despite its massive 6.75-liter V12 engine. The Phantom is the car that essentially relaunched the brand under BMW ownership way back in 2003. It has since spawned long-wheelbase, coupe and convertible models, and underwent a few minor upgrades in 2009. It may yet get another series of enhancements before it's replaced entirely, but don't expect anything drastic within the next half-dozen years or so.
For what it's worth, Rolls-Royce has other things to focus on, and we don't just mean an endless parade of special editions and one-offs for emerging luxury markets in Asia. After launching the Ghost, the company followed up with the Wraith coupe and is said to have a convertible version in the works. An SUV is reportedly under consideration, as is a sixteen-cylinder roadster. But that's not even why the Goodwood-based automaker is stretching out the Phantom's lifecycle like it did its wheelbase: the average Phantom buyer pays a good half million for their new ride, and they wouldn't be too happy to see it replaced quite so soon.

Rolls-Royce spotted testing even sportier Wraith

Mon, 10 Nov 2014

A Rolls-Royce is not what you'd typically consider to be "sporty." Luxurious. Stately. Even powerful, packed as they are with twelve-cylinder engines displacing in excess of six and a half liters. The Wraith set out to change that with a sportier package, more rakish profile and an even more potent version of the Ghost's 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 to make it the fastest and most powerful Rolls-Royce ever made. But now it seems Goodwood is working on an even more aggressive version.
Spotted undergoing testing in parent company BMW's home country of Germany, this particular Wraith might strike you as the same one we've already seen, save for a few telltale details. It may be wearing the same rolling stock as the existing model, with what look like the same tailpipes protruding ever so elegantly around back, but at the bottom of the front bumper and atop the rear trunklid you'll notice more assertive spoilers added on.
To what end, we cannot be certain, but our spotters on the ground seem to think this is a prototype for a more extreme version of the Wraith - possibly inspired by the attention garnered by the Bentley Continental GT3-R. Could we be looking at a Wraith V-Specification like we saw with the Ghost? We'll have to wait to find out for sure, but in the meantime you can scope out the virtually undisguised prototype in the gallery of high-resolution spy shots above.
