1967 silver shadow with a 350 chevy and automatic. she starts first time every time hot or stone cold and runs VERY smoothly. the transmission shifts like a knife through hot butter and the brakes work just fine. the electric shifter box was rebuilt a week ago by a mechanic who really knows what he is doing and the shifter works great. there is a bit of a rattle coming from the exhaust when driving but that is an easy fix, apart from that the ride is pretty smooth and quiet. the old girl leaks NOTHING, not a drop from anywhere and she runs cool even when left idling for half and hour or more. there is no smoke or noise from the engine and it has more than enough power ! the tires are new firestone radials.
all the lights work. two of the electric windows work fine and two do not. the wiper motor does not work and looks like it needs the wiring sorted out. the seats are unresponsive, even when you shout at them. the body is overall very solid. what the old girl needs more than anything else is cosmetic work. there is some amateur body work in the right headlight area that needs to be smoothed out and repainted, likewise around the rear window on the right side. if you wanted the car to look REALLY good then you would paint the whole thing but she could be made to look a whole lot better with a weekends hard work if you had the skill to smooth things out and blend the paint in. right now she gets a lot of looks and thumbs up driving down the road but up close she does not pass muster. likewise the woodwork has had an amateur refinishing job done on it but it looks ok. a strip and revarnish would improve it 100%. the battery is weak, but thats minor. there are a lot of little things that need some attention but the basic car is sound and reliable. to my mind this would be an ideal rental car for weddings and proms et cetera. its cheap enough that you could even use it as a back up car, seriously where can you buy a running driving classic rolls royce FOR LESS THAN $4,000 ?!?!? come see it and drive it away. 864 356 3343 office or 864 616 6860 cell. the car does have a clear south carolina title. now the nitty gritty. i require full payment in 3 days by cash in person or bank to bank wire transfer no other form of payment will be accepted, end of story. if you cannot abide by these very simple terms then do not bid. my feedback is over 400 and 100% positive, check out my feedback as a seller. i will gladly ship the car anywhere in the world. oversea`s shipping is no problem at all. charleston port is 4 hours east of me and i have sent antique cars over sea`s before and know exactly what is involved. if you need a shipping quote or would like more pictures just email me or call my cell on 864 616 6860 before 10 pm eastern standard time. the shipping service to england and mainland europe in a 20 foot container is $2250 give or take a little. a 40 foot container is $2850 if you have other things you want shipped in with the car. i can arrange whatever suits your needs and shipping time is 11 to 13 days depending on where its going. obviously prices can vary a little depending on the exchange rate on the day but as of this writing, 12/12/2013 the prices stated are a safe bet. for a quote to Australia or anywhere in Asia please drop me a line. likewise if you want a shipping quote within the United States just give me a call. thank you all and good luck. |

Rolls-Royce spotted testing even sportier Wraith
Mon, 10 Nov 2014A Rolls-Royce is not what you'd typically consider to be "sporty." Luxurious. Stately. Even powerful, packed as they are with twelve-cylinder engines displacing in excess of six and a half liters. The Wraith set out to change that with a sportier package, more rakish profile and an even more potent version of the Ghost's 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 to make it the fastest and most powerful Rolls-Royce ever made. But now it seems Goodwood is working on an even more aggressive version.
Spotted undergoing testing in parent company BMW's home country of Germany, this particular Wraith might strike you as the same one we've already seen, save for a few telltale details. It may be wearing the same rolling stock as the existing model, with what look like the same tailpipes protruding ever so elegantly around back, but at the bottom of the front bumper and atop the rear trunklid you'll notice more assertive spoilers added on.
To what end, we cannot be certain, but our spotters on the ground seem to think this is a prototype for a more extreme version of the Wraith - possibly inspired by the attention garnered by the Bentley Continental GT3-R. Could we be looking at a Wraith V-Specification like we saw with the Ghost? We'll have to wait to find out for sure, but in the meantime you can scope out the virtually undisguised prototype in the gallery of high-resolution spy shots above.

Bigger isn't always better, especially when it comes to selling super luxury. Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös expects the British automaker to again post a record year, despite the economic troubles in Europe and weak growth in both the US and China.
"It is not all doom and gloom out there," Müller-Ötvös explains, noting that the declining sales in Europe and elsewhere have been offset by good performance for the marque in the Middle East, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Russia.
