For sale: a unique 2008 OPEL "Saturn" Astra .......a nicely done "optical" conversion of Saturn Astra XR Made by OPEL in Belgium, Europe (Antwerp) It's a true OPEL made for a US Market (google it for more info.....)
I owned this car for 4 years and then I transferred the ownership to my sister, last year in June, 2012. My older sister is the primary driver of this car now. We are the sole and only owners of this car. I have all maintenance records, two keys and a manual book.

Asking: $8,995 or "best reasonable" offer.
This Astra is 5 years old and people still take cell phone pictures of it while I'm driving it.... and yes...you will get a lot of attention driving this euro car :). Other drivers think that you have imported this OPEL..... :) GM will probably never sell OPEL cars in the US...so if you ever been in Europe and had seen OPEL cars, and wanted to own one....now is your chance to own one, here in America.
Question & Answer session: I know I'll probably get one of these questions, so I'm providing the answers to you now:
Q: Why are you selling? A: My sister who drives this car presently wants something bigger and newer. Q: Any issues with the car? A: None so far. We change oil every 7,000 miles as indicated by On Board computer. Q: Are the tires new? A: No, they're not. The 4 tires have been replaced about 2 years ago (the cost of new ones is about $620 with shipping on tirerack.com) Q: Are the brakes new? A: Yes, the front brake pads are brand new (replaced in October). The rear brakes have been replaced last year in June. Q: Any accidents? A: None. We are the first owners of this Astra. Q: Warranty? A: No Q: Oil leaks? A: No Q: Who services Saturns now? A: Any local GM dealer will service a Saturn. I service mine at a BUICK dealer. Q: Would you take $5,000..... A: The answer is: no...so please don't waste my time with low ball offers such as $5,000.00.

GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia
Thu, 09 Feb 2012General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.
Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
Car thief lands Saturn on Fresno roof
Fri, 06 Jan 2012Residents of a Fresno, California apartment building recently awoke to debris falling from their ceiling after a car thief managed to execute a perfect parking job on the structure's roof. Police say 26-year-old Benjamin Tucker stole the Saturn sedan from a nearby house before striking either a curb or some rocks, vaulting the vehicle into the air and onto the roof. After seeing his predicament, Tucker leapt from the roof and fled the scene. Or at least he tried to. Tucker broke his leg in the fall and only made it around a quarter of a mile from the crash when police picked him up.
No one else was harmed in the stunt.
Tucker had two outstanding warrants for his arrest at the time for a hit-and-run and evading police. A special crane had to be called in to remove the Saturn from the apartment roof and the structure will indeed require repairs. Hit the jump for a news report on the incident.
