Year:2003 Mileage:10400 Color: and interior
Location:

Willard, Missouri, United States

2003 Saturn Ion show car. Built for APC Automotive for the 2003 SEMA California car show. Only 10,000 actual miles - will pass any CarFax report.

This was a standard Satrun Ion sedan with 5-speed manual, A/C, power windows, locks, brakes and steering. The car was professionally customized on the West Coast for APC aftermarket car parts company to demonstrate their products (2003 SEMA car show), as follows:

Custom airbrushed paint by Steven Vandemon - google his name - he is an artist - Playing cards in flames theme exterior and interior. The car has been signed/logo by Steven Vandemon.
Custom dual outlet exhaust - sounds great
Air bag suspension on all four corners - two compressors and large holding tank. - Bolt-in installation - nothing cut. Can raise and lower back, front or both with a push of a button.
19 in custom wheels and performance tires - newer tires maybe 2K miles.
Kenwood Stereo with MP3 hookup/ CD player
3400 watt amp and 15 in sub-woofer
customized interior including alligator inlayed and leather seats, custom steering wheel, shoulder harness seatbelts, trunk inserts, etc...
DVD player and 4 screens
Under carriage glow neon lighting
Body kit all around.
Window Tint - (not shown in pics)
Sure I am missing a few items...

Mechanically - other than exhaust, wheels and suspension car is bone stock. Gets over 30 MPG, looks cool, sounds fun (not obnoxious), very reliable - a little time capsule - only 10,000 actual miles - like a new car. Awesome A/C - looks and shines like new car. Neat little car you can drive or show. Thousands spent on custom work alone ($20-30K range)  may consider interesting trades.

Car is not a rebuild or restoration - a new car that was professionally customized for auto shows - like new mechnically.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:

Report: GM temporarily restarts Saturn Outlook, Hummer H3 production

Even though both the Saturn and Hummer brands are being phased out, General Motors has reportedly revived production of both the Outlook crossover and H3 SUV to meet consumer demands.
Last month, GM assembled 1,037 Outlooks at its Lansing, Michigan facility, which is where the crossover's Lamda platform stablemates (Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia) are built. A spokesperson for GM states that production was reinstated to utilize the rest of the Saturn-specific material at the facility, and that the automaker will continue to assemble the Outlook for a few more weeks.

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
