2006 Saturn Ion RedLine w/ competition pckg. 57k mi., 2 owner, garage kept, EC. Vehicle is all stock except for a K&N Typhoon cold air intake system. I have the factory intake system as well. BF Goodrich G-Force KDW tires with approximately 20k on them. All factory manuals. Enthusiast owned and properly maintained.
RedLine package includes GM Performance division supercharged 2.0 Ecotec engine, 5-speed transmission, re-tuned spring and bushing rates, larger 4-wheel disc brakes, thicker performance sway bars, re-valved shock absorbers, and Recaro racing seats. Also included from the factory was a more aggressive sounding exhaust and GM's OnStar system.
The Competition Package enhanced the performance with 17 in. Gunmetal painted alloy rims, steering wheel mounted boost gauge with programmable ladder style shift lights and a Quaife limited slip differential.
In 2006 Saturn produced 406 RedLines in black, of which approx. 50% were equipped with the competition package. This is a rare, fun, fast and economical performance car.

Car thief lands Saturn on Fresno roof
Fri, 06 Jan 2012Residents of a Fresno, California apartment building recently awoke to debris falling from their ceiling after a car thief managed to execute a perfect parking job on the structure's roof. Police say 26-year-old Benjamin Tucker stole the Saturn sedan from a nearby house before striking either a curb or some rocks, vaulting the vehicle into the air and onto the roof. After seeing his predicament, Tucker leapt from the roof and fled the scene. Or at least he tried to. Tucker broke his leg in the fall and only made it around a quarter of a mile from the crash when police picked him up.
No one else was harmed in the stunt.
Tucker had two outstanding warrants for his arrest at the time for a hit-and-run and evading police. A special crane had to be called in to remove the Saturn from the apartment roof and the structure will indeed require repairs. Hit the jump for a news report on the incident.

The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
GM nixes fleet-only Chevy Captiva Sport
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Well, guys, it looks like Saturn is finally dead in the United States once and for all. According to Automotive News, Chevrolet has discontinued production of its fleet-only Captiva Sport - a rebadged Saturn Vue - after three years on the market. The very last US-spec Captiva Sport was built in Mexico in August. GM will still produce the vehicle for sale in the Mexican market, as well as for export.
GM initially offered the Captiva Sport for rental fleets as a way to free up capacity for the sightly larger Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers, which, according to AN, had been in short supply. The Captiva Sport also did a nice job protecting the resale values of its other similar-sized CUVs because they didn't have to play in the fleet market. But with Chevrolet preparing to launch its subcompact Trax CUV in the US, the automaker will soon have a clear, three-tier crossover lineup without the Captiva Sport. The Trax fills out the bottom end, followed by the Equinox and the seven-passenger Traverse.
For now, renters seeking a taste of 'Classic GM' will have to whet their appetites with the fullsize Impala Limited.
