Hi -
I have a 2000 Saturn SWP Right-hand drive postal wagon for sale. I'm a huge saturn fan and got this wagon back at the beginning of summer. It has 185727 miles on it, and it smoked a little when I got it, so I put in another engine and transmission that came out of a 2002 SL1 with 120k on it. I also swapped the struts and wheel bearings off the SL1. This wagon runs great and shifts very smoothly. It does not smoke and starts easy. The AC and heat both work great. The tires are in good shape, and the interior is in great shape. The left hand front seat has been removed, but is available to take with the car, or I can reinstall it. There is a small dent on the hood and front bumper and I replaced the right fender with another one. The color is slightly off. I changed the transmission fluid and coolant back in July on this car. The brakes are over 90% as well.
Overall, this car is in great shape and ready for a route!

I'm located in Greensboro, NC and I can take this car to a mechanic of your choice to be inspected. I would only ask that you share the results with me!
I can also pick you up at the Greensboro (GSO) airport, and I can also deliver this car if we make arrangements.
Call shawn at 720-413-6472 with any questions!

NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.

GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia

Thu, 09 Feb 2012

General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.

Report: GM temporarily restarts Saturn Outlook, Hummer H3 production

Even though both the Saturn and Hummer brands are being phased out, General Motors has reportedly revived production of both the Outlook crossover and H3 SUV to meet consumer demands.
Last month, GM assembled 1,037 Outlooks at its Lansing, Michigan facility, which is where the crossover's Lamda platform stablemates (Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia) are built. A spokesperson for GM states that production was reinstated to utilize the rest of the Saturn-specific material at the facility, and that the automaker will continue to assemble the Outlook for a few more weeks.
