GUYS! You'll pay maybe $28,250 out the door, like I did, if you buy brand new. Don't miss your opportunity to SAVE thousands!!! 5 speed manual, 10,xxx miles, Opticoated from the beginning, Like-new, always stock, never modified, adult owned, never in accident, immaculate paint, never taken to the car wash, hand washed using Garry Dean technique every time, Always with a coat of sealant and wax period! Engine properly broken in. Oil changed at 50, 100, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000 and 8500 miles!!! Yes, I was ready to keep this baby forever!!! Notice the door sills still have the blue protective plastic on it! Seriously?!? It won't get better than this. I'm only averaging 5000 miles a year!! Never tracked. Used as daily commuter car. Your teenager will love this as a college present! Or, maybe it's time to reward yourself for all the hard work you've done. First to see this beauty in person will probably take it!
It does have one upgrade which is the OEM Subaru BRZ JDM underbody panels which were imported from Japan and professionally installed. I paid over $400 for the panels.
The reason why I'm selling is that I just bought a minivan for my second child which is due in 3 weeks. I'm looking to sell to a responsible adult who will care for the FRS as I did. MUST SEE! Thanks.
I'll miss the FRS, but the family is loving the Sienna!
Exterior 9.5/10
Interior 9/10
No curb rash
Non-smoker
Has 2 keys, 1 valet key, and one key that opens door only (good to stash somewhere outside of car with key magnet).
Clean title is held by bank.
Still under warranty until Jan. 2015.
No cracks or stars on windshield.

Scion exec admits brand has too many dealerships, may contract network

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Despite being conceived by corporate giant Toyota, Scion painstakingly built its reputation on being something of an offbeat, youth-minded brand, working hard to establish individualist, almost hipster-like credentials. So it comes as something of a surprise to hear WardsAuto report that Scion has a whopping 1,000 dealers across America - just 200 fewer than Toyota itself. This, despite a much smaller product portfolio and a sliver of the sales volume.
All those factors may explain why Bill Fay, US group vice president for Toyota, is admitting to the industry publication that its dealer network "might actually go down a little bit." As it stands, the volume end of the equation is probably an even bigger incentive - Scion's sales are way down from the salad days of the mid-2000s, when the brand had fewer models but sold more of them. With the (then) white-hot xB and tC models, Scion shifted 173,034 units in 2006, while Ward's notes the marque's 2013 sales are only at 41,261 units through July. In the story, AutoPacific analyst Dave Sullivan observes that other low-volume brands have far fewer dealer points, noting that Mini has just 115 dealer points and Infiniti has 200. By Sullivan's estimate, he would expect to see 350-500 Scion stores based on its sales figures.
Dealer question aside, the bigger issue is where the brand goes from here, and Fay admits Toyota is studying a number of different strategies, including possibly going "small-premium." Nothing is finalized, though according to Ward's, Fay discounts the idea that the FR-S - the brand's sales bright spot - will drive the brand to consider a more driver-oriented lineup.

Scion teases mysterious sporty iM concept for LA show

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Thoroughly cleansed of our time at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, we can now start looking forward to the next big show on the circuit (with all due respect to SEMA), the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. One of the earliest new cars slated for LA is this, the Scion iM Concept.
Now, these teaser images don't show us terribly much. We can see the headlights, foglights and wheels. The little information we can glean indicates that, based on the short hood and minimal space between the front door and front axle, the iM will be a very small vehicle. That said, a very low ride height (and Scion's own press release) claims this will be a rather sporty offering. The concept's nose and grille, meanwhile, bears some resemblance to Toyota's most recent stylings.
We'll have more when the iM Concept debuts in LA on November 19. Until then, check out the pair of teasers and the official press release, available below.

The New Poster Child For Cheap Thrills
Let me tell you about a man named Larry. Larry works for a company called STI Fleet Services, one of a few companies that are responsible for the cleaning, prepping, maintaining, scheduling, delivering and picking up of the cars we test on a weekly basis, not to mention a whole slew of other duties. STI and its competitors are the silent heroes of this whole automotive journalism biz. Larry is one of the guys responsible for a lot of the grunt work - he's been delivering cars to me for nearly seven years now, and because of that, we've developed a bit of a rapport. Now that I think about it, my history with Larry goes back farther than several of my friendships, as well as every romantic relationship I've ever had... combined.
With that much history behind us, Larry knows my taste in cars pretty well. And even though he doesn't voice his own opinions about what's being delivered to me, Larry silently knows when he's about to hand me keys to something truly special. When Larry arrived at my door with a bright red 2013 Scion FR-S, I tried to play it cool. But Larry knows me better than that.
