For sale I have a 2008 Scion TC. Only 56k miles! Fully loaded with dual sunroofs, two tone leather, pioneer radio, alloy wheels, spoiler, keyless entry, 5 speed, cruise, tilt and more! I was told by previous owner that it had a newly installed clutch and there was just a few thousand miles on new turbo setup done by full blown in apple valley! Has cold air intake and blow off valve! Super fun car to drive! Very clean car that goes down the road straight and gets good gas mileage. Clean body with minimal wear. No obvious or noticeable paint work done. Salvage title. Full autcheck available the car shows for 0 accidents, 0 frame damage, and 0 water damage so I am unsure of why the title was reported as salvage but it was reported as so 03/17/2011 with 28,440 miles and has been driven since. Smells nice inside, clean interior. CONS. A/C system is leaking free-on I believe from the condensor, check engine light is on due to the turbo setup and car has aftermarket headlights and driver side collects some moisture possibly a bad seal. Customize a Scion, make it out of paper [w/video]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Shin Tanaka is a "Japanese artist, graffiti writer, paper toy creator, designer" with Kennedy Center credentials - his Paper Shaper sneakers are especially popular. Scion has done a DIY collaboration with Tanaka that can get you every one of Scion's five models as a Paper Shaper.
There are two ways to get in on the auto origami, the first being to stop by the Scion booth if you happen by one of the coming season's auto shows. Since that's a lot of work and waiting to acquire a perforated sheet of paper, you can also download the Scion Paper Shaper app from iTunes. In the app you can customize your model, complete with custom paper sneakers on the custom paper base, then print it out and build it yourself.

This Irishman really likes the Toyota GT86
Sun, 10 Feb 2013Okay, okay - by this point in time just liking the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, what have you) doesn't make you special. Even if you're a sort of funny sounding, funny looking Irishman, who probably isn't the most seasoned car reviewer ever, digging the GT86 is not news.
However, if, when you choose to publish your ten-minute-long review, you include exclamatory phrases about your own pubic hair, Ozzy Osborne's drug habit and "gentleman vegetable stuff," well sir, then you'll have our attention.
Don't give up on this video, available down below, after the first couple of minutes, we implore you. The silver-tongued Irishman doesn't really get warmed up until four minutes in, or so. Believe us, it's worth the wait.
Scion celebrates first 10 years with special edition models
Mon, 01 Apr 2013As the story goes, Toyota's Scion brand was imagined up in someone's basement and then came to fruition in 2003 as a youth-oriented brand with a focus on delivering unique vehicles with an equally unique retail experience. A decade later, the brand has grown to five models, which will each be commemorated starting in June with a new Scion 10 Series edition.
In varying quantities, Scion will be offering the FR-S, tC, iQ, xB and xD with an exclusive package that will all come in the Silver Ignition exterior color. Aside from the paint, these cars will also receive Scion badges on the front and rear that are backlit with blue LEDs that illuminate when the car is unlocked. Silver seat belts and a solar-powered illuminated shift knob will help distinguish the interiors of these cars, but the iQ, xB and xD will stand out further from the outside with darker alloy wheels.
In total, just 10,000 Scion 10 Series models are planned, and each will be identifiable with a sequentially numbered badge inside the car. The redesigned 2014 tC will get the most of the special-edition models with 3,500 units, while other new models like the FR-S and iQ will be restricted to just 2,500 units and 900 units, respectively. The original Scion, the xB, will get 2,100 Scion 10 Series models, and the xD will round out the 10,000-unit run with 1,000 models being produced. Scroll down for the official press release.
