2005 Scion Tc Flint Mica, Clean Low Miles (47k), Extras Trd, Injen, Tanabe, Nst on 2040-cars
Lexington, Kentucky, United States
You are bidding on a meticulously maintained first generation Scion tC. The car is a single owner vehicle bought new with .8ths of a mile on the odometer in July 2004. Proper engine break-in was followed and oil was changed at 500 miles, Synthetic oil and K&N oil filters at subsequent maintenance intervals. Gear oil was replaced at 25K with Redline MT-90 for smoother shifting and reduced synchro wear. Car was rarely driven in rain or snow and always garaged, paint and clear coat are in great condition, minor scuffs mostly on front bumper. Bottom Line is that you will not find a nicer low mileage first generation tC. Below you will find a list of currently installed aftermarket parts, winning bidder will also receive the original stock parts for those items that have an asterisk beside it.
Please ask any questions regarding condition or pictures prior to placing bid Kelly Blue Book lists this car between $9098 to $9423 stock (not including aftermarket parts) The car is mechanically sound, as mentioned paint is in great condition with the exception of a few scuffs on front bumper. Car does not have any dents or dings, Nippon wheels have some minor pits on the polished lips; however the stock wheels are mint and practically new. Non-smoker, interior is clean and stock, includes stock Scion all-weather mats and cargo mat. Engine: (Est. Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0 hits dealers with $29,990 MSRP
Wed, 10 Sep 2014If you're familiar with Scion, you likely know all about the Release Series special editions, and back in April, the automaker showed us the first RS example of its FR-S coupe. At that time, we knew the price would come in somewhere "under $30,000," and while that's technically true, the final number is a whopping ten bucks below that $30k mark. Yep, the yellowest Scion can be yours for $29,990, not including $770 for destination.
Only 1,500 of the FR-S RS 1.0 coupes will be made, all fitted with TRD lowering springs, a quad exhaust system, TRD steering wheel, HID headlamps with LED running lights, a TRD shift knob, pushbutton start, black seats and, of course, that aero kit. The $29,990 price applies to cars that use the six-speed manual transmission. If you want the automatic, be prepared to shell out $31,090.
Scroll down for more details about the special Scion. And if the super-yellow coupe isn't really lighting your fire, you can always opt for its Subaru sister, in a lovely shade of blue.
Scion reveals iM concept ahead of LA debut
Wed, 12 Nov 2014After dropping a teaser image on us a few weeks ago, Scion has revealed in full the new iM Concept it's bringing to the Los Angeles Auto Show next week. As expected, the concept is clearly a rebadged version of the Euro-market Toyota Auris, only with some "European Racing Circuit Styling" upgrades to make it look more aggressive.
Along with the Scion logos, the five-door hatch is treated to a deeper air dam flanked by angular vents with stacked fog lamps, beefed-up wheel arches linked by widened side sills and filled with 19-inch, anthracite-finish alloys on low-profile rubber. Vented brake discs and four-piston calipers join an adjustable suspension as show-worthy equipment upgrades.
The sporty treatment continues around back with a similarly aggressive rear bumper and roof spoiler. Even the wing mirrors are replaced with narrower units. Little wonder it's all done up in a shade Scion calls "incrediblue" that looks rather similar to what sister-brand Lexus would put on one of its F-branded performance models - or for that matter what corporate ally Subaru would put on an STI hot hatches like the WRX.
Rutledge Wood wins Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race in Long Beach
Sun, 21 Apr 2013Rutledge Wood took home the checkered flag at this year's Toyota Pro/Celebrity race at the Grand Prix of Long Beach. The Top Gear USA presenter, Fox Sports commentator and Honda Wagovan owner managed to take pole position in qualifying, but lost his lead early in the race to Mark Steines. Steines has competed in the Pro/Celebrity race four times so far, but the Hallmark channel host of Home and Family couldn't quite hold on to the lead. Wood eventually made up the ground he had lost for the win. This year, all the participants went fender to fender in identically prepared Scion FR-S racers.
Meanwhile, Adam Carolla took first in the Pro category, and Toyota donated $5,000 on behalf of each participant to Racing for Kids. The charity benefits children's hospitals in the Long Beach area, and this year Toyota donated a total of $90,000. Check out the full press release below for more information.
